Paid for a large got a medium. Waited for a fresh batch the person helping me goes to scoop the rest of the old batch in my “large” i don’t get why employees skimp on the portions especially when the box is sized to charge accordingly yet still skimp the customer that keeps them in business and ultimately them employed. After paying for an iced tea, their response was “oh, out iced tea machine isn’t working,” and then refused to refund the drink and only wanted to complain that I was complaining I had just bought a drink and didn’t get it delivered. absolute worst service ever. Never returning to this store. Never returning to a panda express.

Definitely one of the better Panda Expresses I’ve ever been too! Service was great and they were even willing to let us wait for more fresh chow mein to come out of the kitchen.
The amount of options available here also exceed those of other panda express locations, further impressing me.

While I was eating the green bean chicken I noticed a literal maggot in my food. I was disgusted and my stomach started hurting afterwards. I don’t know how food is handled here but this should not happen.

Every month or so we order food from the 41st and soquel location. It’s usually 50/50 shot on whether the food is good or under/over cooked. Service has always been debatable, depending on how busy they are. Today, there was only 2 people in line. My husband ordered and paid for our food online. When we arrived, they were still working on it. Normally, we check the order, but I was in a hurry to get my husband home, (He had just gotten out of the hospital). When we got home an hour later, we found part of the order missing. Instead of the 12 spring rolls we ordered, we only received 2. I called the location twice before someone finally picked up. I explained what had happened, and they told me to hang on, that they would get someone to help me. They sat the receiver down and I’ve been sitting here for 45 minutes listening to pans clanging and banging, people talking and no one coming to the phone. Seems like the service had gotten worse over the last few months.

For the second, and last, time my take out order was missing an entree from a plate. And it wasn’t even busy! It is so frustrating to come home and to find items missing. In essence, it is fraud and theft.

The Unseen Veteran
Panda Express – Fast, Delicious, and (Mostly) Flawless
Panda Express is hands down my favorite place for orange chicken, rice, and chow mein—quick, easy, and always satisfying. The food was great, the service was solid, and I was soaking up some sunshine by the window, enjoying my meal. Perfect setup.
However, I ran into a couple of hiccups. First, I wasn’t able to leave a tip because they only accept cash tips. I don’t carry cash (because I lose it, it’s dirty, and, let’s be real, I believe cash is evil). If they could allow customers to tip via credit or debit, I’d feel a lot better about my transactions.
Second, I tried to leave a glowing review through the Panda Express app and website, but both were riddled with errors that prevented me from doing so. They need some serious bug fixes because I actually wanted to leave a compliment, and that shouldn’t be so difficult.
On a side note, while I was sitting there, a guy named Kevin was keeping the restaurant clean, which is great—except he spent an oddly long time sweeping around me and banging the dustpan against the floor like he was sending a message. Not sure if he was mad at his boss, me, or just having a rough day, but it was a bit… distracting. I thanked him for being so loud on my way out, and he did apologize while staring at the floor—so, progress?
Overall, great food, great place. Just needs a tipping option, a functioning app, and maybe a little less passive-aggressive sweeping.

Love the beef and broccoli. Ordered a dmall side. The price is perfect. I appreciate that they offer small sides for those of us that can only eat limited portions. Great service everytime I come to this location.

Definitely not worth going to! They’re so half ass with the way they serve and cook their food because this location is the only one that serves this area. Best to drive more to the Santa Cruz location or if you’re willing, head to San Jose.
