At Spoons, we value Freshness. Our savory soups, crisp salads, and signature focaccia sandwiches have been growing with Fort Collins for over 15 years. We’re proud supporters of local and regional farms, purchasing much of our meats and produce locally. Our mission is to always serve fresh eats that are crafted daily and never cooked from frozen. In fact, our only frozen items are gently frozen soup quarts that you can buy for dinner or lunch the next day. Come in to savor the flavor of Spoons. You can never get enough hand-crafted fresh eats.

It was the day before Halloween, and the same week Funkwerks Brewing was closing their tasting room, so we stopped in for one last beer. While we were there, we placed an online order at Spoons since it was just around the corner. We picked our soups, checked out, and everything went through fine.
As we were wrapping up at Funkwerks, we noticed a missed call from Spoons, but we were already just a few minutes away, so we decided to head over instead of calling back. It was close to closing time, and we were the only customers when we arrived. Emma was working the counter, and when we told her we were there to pick up an order, she realized we were the customers she had tried to call to let us know they had run out of the soups we’d chosen.
That was unfortunate, but Emma’s customer service absolutely made up for it. She walked us through all of our options, explained what was still available in cup versus bowl sizes, and even suggested soup combinations that worked well together (which, honestly, I had never thought of before). She was thoughtful, patient, and genuinely kind in a way the world could use a lot more of right now.
We wanted to make sure Emma gets recognition for how awesome she is as both an employee and as a human.
My ONLY complaint is that they never have SPIT PEA soup and when then do, it seems like its 1 time a month. By the time I get off work and race over there, they are out. No spoons here ever has Split Pea and it bums us out a but. There is no way to request soups so I made a stop here on Google. If YOU run this location, please make the split pea more often. 🙂 We would eat here every single day if you did, you make it best. Not even a joke.
Frustrating!
At the Elizabeth one, my husband and I watched a kid sneeze straight into his hand, and then proceed to make the sandwich he was working on. The soups were also spilled and crusted all over platform that they drop into. It looked like the area hadn’t been cleaned the entire day. We walked out and went to Jim’s Wings instead.
At the Link Lane one, I’ve ordered takeout orders 3 times and Every. Single. Time. the order has been wrong. And I’m not just talking about wrong as in they forgot an ingredient. I’m talking about wrong in that they made a gluten-free sandwich on gluten-full bread and they gave a meaty soup to a vegetarian. Stuff like that – where the person literally couldn’t even eat it. Every time, they’ve removed it from the bill, but the people I was eating with went hungry because of the mess-ups. Really no good. Sadly, I would definitely not recommend this place anymore.
Also the food was good, with fresh ingredients
