Great place for a fine dining experience in Port Clinton! I would recommend getting a reservation before you come, we did not & sat at the bar so we didn’t have to wait an hour to be seated. The service at the bar was still great! We got the ahi tuna as an appetizer & then the grilled salmon & yellow perch, pan seared. Ended the dinner with a homemade peach cobbler & ice cream.

This restaurant is one of our favorites. Clean, fast, friendly, they wrote the book when it comes to hospitality in our area. The 1812 Chicken is one of our favorites, along with the Lobster Tail Dainties. All homemade desserts. Can’t wait to go back.

First time in the area, great restaurant. Walked in at 6pm on a late-august Saturday to a busy, but not full dining room. Seated quickly, family of 4 with kids. Waitress was an absolute pro. Food was excellent, family had steak, walleye and chicken picattca, all prepared well and delicious, including dessert. Menu has great variety, excellent wine list, had a number of Orin Swift bottles. Nice, chill ambiance after a busy couple days. We’re not picky, but are a bit critical or restaurants and food, this was 10/10 for what we were looking for tonight, look forward to returning with out next visit to the area.

Let me get straight to the point. I came here because I saw a picture of their carrot cake. However I will start at the beginning of dinner. This is a very nice establishment. Everybody was well dressed, the facility was very clean and the staff was great. The overall cost made me skip a appetizer. For the first time in years I got prime rib, it was outstanding. The horseradish will make you cry, I loved it. The 1812 potatoes were spot on. The Cajun shrimp risotto was equally splendid, was not that spicy but had a good kick to it. The risotto was great tasting as well. The deserts had to be taken home. By the time I got home, it was time to dig in. The carrot cake was great, but the chocolate cake made the rest of the dinner worth the high price. This was more of splurge for us, and glad we did it.

Ate dinner at 1812 with my family while on a road trip. We LOVED the food and especially the dessert cart! The service was excellent, too. Highly recommend for a nice dinner 🙂

Stopped here in Hope’s of a good meal because we saw the google reviews were good. The restaurant was dim and loud at 8 in the evening with rap music coming from the kitchen area. The service was fine but nothing spectacular. The portions were awful, 30$ for some pasta with 3 pieces of shrimp and 26$ for a piece of chicken with a small scoop of soup and a piece of hashbrowns casserole. I am not the type of person to complain about food prices but was optimistic that the flavor might be why the reviews were so high. Well we were wrong about that also, the food was bland with almost no flavor at all except for the soup which tasted like they filled up the dish with half salt…. nothing was overly bad but nothing worth ever having again…. save your money

This cute little place was great for the most part. Server Renee was amazing. The drinks were amazing the appetizers were great. Brussel Sprouts w/ cheese were to die for. The main course unfortunately was not that great. Everything was dry including the 1812 potatoes. Had lamb chops and I asked for medium and they were well and dry. Lobster was pretty good. Overall good place. Just make sure you ask for your beef light medium.

This place is lovely and upscale. They allowed us to bring our 2 dogs and sit at their outdoor patio. What a great view!
Awesome lobster and filet mignon
