My go-to place for my dosa cravings. Lately I started eating the millet dosa and I lost quite a bit of weight. But total disclosure – I did a lot of other healthy eating and routine to lose weight. But this cafe rocks. Plus there is the added bonus of having the grocery store next door for all the groceries you need. My favorite place when it comes to Indian food and groceries.

Unfortunately today we went back to try some dishes that we used to order and got a dosa masala.
Their cook has changed the filling of the dosa is just onions, the idli tasted like old rice 🙁 it is such a shame. This place used to be our go to. I guess no more

We have been to this place twice. The location is quite convenient, especially if you plan to do grocery shopping and grab a bite to eat afterward. During our visits, we tried the dosa, which was good. However, the chutneys didn’t impress me much.
The samosas were a letdown; they were too oily and served cold. The Mysore bonda also fell short of expectations, as it was served cold when we expected it to be hot and crispy.
Overall, I might consider coming back here only when I need to do some shopping in the area, but it’s not a top choice for dining.

New Indian grocery store. They have good variety of grocery, snacks, food and nonfood items. Almost you can get everything you need. They provide free tea which was tasting really delicious. They have a kitchen too where they provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. Really nice customer service.

One of the best places to shop and eat in this neighborhood! I like how the aisles are well laid out and at least as of now the store is clean and isn’t too crowded. Although you can find pretty much most Indian grocery items here, if you are especially shopping for South Indian grocery, then this is perfect for you. Owners are friendly too, though they are still coming to grips with operating a brand new store and can do a better job of putting price labels on all items. About the cafe: It opens at 11, and I wish it opened at 10 at least. But apart from that, the affordably priced food is some of the most authentic and delicious South Indian food that I’ve had. It is not too spicy either. The place is spotless too, and I hope they keep it that way. I couldn’t ask for anything more than that! You can bet they will get my repeat business.

This will be a two-in-one review. We visited the grocery store first. It was clean and well stocked and had all the stuff we were looking for.
The kitchen was interesting. If you buy some stuff at the grocery store, you get coupons for food in the kitchen. We ordered the Paneer Masala Dosa and Dahi Sev Puri. Dosa was decent. The Dahi Sev Puri was a let down. Dahi was too sour. Might now try the food from the kitchen next time I get there.

This place has improved a lot! It has very good selection of groceries and various puja items. The food counter has lots of fresh Indian food options. We loved their veg biryani, gongura paneer biryani, idly chutneys, pesarattu, thali items. The chat counter has pretty good selection too. Love their pani puri.

One stop shop for food and groceries. Prices seem to be on the higher side for both groceries and food. Dosa’s buffet on Thursday evenings, which was set up outside the store.

We liked the restaurant experience here. The variety is amazing given how limited the seating space is. A lot of it was takeaways like I observed by sitting there.
Tried the Benne Dosa, Thatte Idli, and their complimentary free coffee.
Benne Dosas are 2 pieces in a plate, and more like plain uttapam in my opinion. The image of Benne Dosa in my mind was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This was soft on all sides. Taste was good, and very reasonably priced. No issues there, but too much quantity for me. I wanted to try other things also but I was full.
Thatte Idli was awesome. The amount of ghee and podi they give is really generous.
Will surely come again to try other Dosa varieties and appetizers. Haven’t shopped at the grocery section yet. Maybe next time!

Started my new position in Pleasanton and I asked my co-worker if she knew about any good Indian food at a friendly budget. She recommended Sri Venkateswara Grocery and Kitchen. Upon arrival, I immediately knew this was a modern and clean spot. It’s up-to-date, spacious, with a calm atmosphere. I was assisted right away at the kitchen with lovely smiles and wonderful customer service from Gayathri and Dimpal. I asked for their recommendation, and yummy-yumm, it did not disappoint!! I will be back for sure! Great place for clean, hot, delicious food at a decent price!
