I hit this place up on burger night. “The Westerner” was cooked to perfection and exactly how I ordered it. There are extras that, of course, cost extra. But it’s worth it! The flavor was a spot on good burger! AND, I didn’t have to cut it in half. I substituted hand battered onion rings for the side. They were cooked to a golden tender yummy perfection!
Topped it all off with a nice draft and it was a perfect meal. I even got a meal to go so I could eat it again later.

Happy hour in Texas, of course! Big establishment with covered patio for outside smoking. Tables and bar seating with TVs and entertainment. The menu has many options to decide from & to bartender mixed the drinks really good. They have pickle juice so go ahead and order that Jameson and pickle back. The gumbo is *chef kiss* don’t cheat yourself by ordering a cup. My chicken fried steak, fried okra and dirty rice was a meal I was craving, so close to home cooking. Thank You.

We tried The West fir dinner and was very surprised. We walked in, sat ourselves and a waitress came out shortly. They don’t have a regular drink menu, just an open bar so I got a Cabo Wabo Margarita and Chris got just a Crown Apple and Cranberry. The food came out promptly and was nice and hot. The blackend shrimp was very flavorful and no fishy taste which is a plus. Chris got the Westend burger and it looked very juicy when biting into it, the sweet potato fried were okay, but for some reason my tater tots were the perfect crisp so I was happy. We will Def be back.

I walked in yesterday, just to check it out, because Mike Hamilton’s restaurant Hamilton’s in Port Arthur is so awesome. However, I found the atmosphere was like walking into an “ashtray”. It smelled very much like cigarette smoke to me and the place just looked dinghy. I walked back out shortly, with no desire to sit down and order any food. I will not be going there again. *However, conversely, I cannot speak highly enough of Hamilton’s Restaurant! Mike (jr) and his staff are fantastic, as is the delicious variety food, of especially seafood.. with the absolute Best homemade rolls in all of southeast Texas!!

Haven’t been here enough to care enough about it. But from my first couple experiences, the music is pretty loud, but that is most bars. Some of the staff is really nice, but some aren’t. They do not wait on you outside, but that is ok. Good thing is that you can pay to play jukebox music, which is neato. And they gave me a koozie! Always love that!

I wouldn’t call it a bar and grill. Bar yes grill not. We ordered nachos with fajita beef meat that had no flavor wasn’t cooked on a grill plain queso cheese guacamole wasn’t fresh salsa idk where it came from. Unsweet tea only. Music is on juke box the bar Music was terrible if you wanted to hear something you have to download app and buy songs.
