We usually order just tacos but went outside the box. No disappointment with the quality and size of the servings. We ordered steak gorditas and a steak taco salad the green sauce set it off had a little kick but the flavor over powered it. Highly recommend chefs kiss

We eat here every time we are at this flea market. They are super fast, reasonably priced, and always great! Eat here!!!
Sometimes hard to grab a booth, but we usually do OK.

Honestly a 10 outta 10 all around! Food was some of the best Mexican food we’ve eaten. The steak was cooked to perfection. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy. The shells were homemade and the best part. Could not give a higher recommendation. Also friendly staff was a pleasure.

El Tio Carlos – 3/5 stars
Solid neighborhood Mexican spot with some hits and one unfortunate miss.
The good:
The tacos are legitimately excellent – perfectly cooked steak, fresh cilantro and onion, and that bright green salsa ties it all together. The taco plate with rice and beans I got as a replacement was also spot-on: flavorful, well-seasoned, generous portions. If you stick to tacos, burritos, or the standard plates, you’ll probably leave happy.
The not-so-good:
Ordered the menudo and… yeah, it smelled exactly like – raw sewage. Visually it looked perfect (nice color, good amount of hominy, tripe looked clean), and when I ignored the smell and sipped the broth it actually tasted great. But that off-putting barnyard/poop aroma was impossible to get past. I’ve eaten menudo all my life (Hispanic family too) and have never had it smell like that. Clearly a cleaning issue with the tripe – someone didn’t wash it thoroughly enough or soak/rinse it properly. They happily swapped it out for the taco plate, no questions asked, so service gets points for handling it well.
Bottom line:
3 stars feels fair. Tacos and classic beans and rice are on point, but the menudo was a hard fail that day. If you love menudo, maybe ask how fresh that batch is or skip it altogether and just double down on the tacos – you won’t be disappointed. I’ll go back, but I’m sticking to what they do best.

Overall nice authentic mexican restaurant. I had a torta which was great. The staff was nice. We probably waiting 10-15 mins for our food.

$11 for a weak burger and fries heated up in a microwave. Unfortunately at Red Barn, there aren’t many options and I had a hungry family. Also, $10.00 for four tiny tacos is crazy. The wife’s burger had a tiny piece of cheese when in the menu it shows a huge piece. Avoid unless you are desperate.

Hands down when I tell you it is the best tacos that I have had. I have been recommended to come here for some time. I showed up today and ordered 4 tacos for $8 and got a variety. Green sauce was amazing, tortillas were on point, meat was very flavorful without being salty, and the staff was very nice. I would put this up against anything I have had so far worth the trip.

The food is always good. I get the pork tacos with cilantro and onions. I would have given 5 stars but they no longer have the guacamole sauce to put on your food. The guacamole sauce was what set thos place apart from other places that serve tacos in the area.

Im a native southern Californian, I grew up eating authentic Mexican food. This was typical of what’s passed off here as the real thing. I ordered the carne asada and it was not seasoned and had the consistency like it had been on the steam table for hours. For a much better experience try The Spot Tacos less than a mile away.
