This place never seems to be busy, but I dont understand why. This is truly a hidden gem in lakewood ranch. Extremely fast yet courteous service. The food is incredible! Best hibachi ever. So much flavor and huge portions. I was a die hard JOTO fan but this place surpassed them in flavor. Clean restrooms and restaurant. Love working so close! My pic is of the steak and chicken hibachi and. I already ate a few pieces. Run, dont walk to this place!

We drove 1.5 hours to come try this restaurant with my family that lives in Bradenton and I have to say , “ they were right!” WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED the food. I had the chicken stir fry and the hubbs had steak stir fry. The chicken was really delicious breast meat, no gristle. The veggies and rice were amazing and the soup was wonderful! My husband said his steak had a wonderful taste and it wasn’t tough at all, it was a perfect meal, and very high quality meat and vegetables. We have been to so many different stir fry restaurants and the food quality was never there!! We are so happy to say that we will definitely drive 1.5 hours for this amazing quality food and service at this establishment!! Thank you to the Mizu Restaurant Team for such quality food, preparation, service and atmosphere!!

I’ll just go line by line to make it easy.

1. Walked in to a pungent scent of bleach that lingered through the whole meal
2. Tables are on top of each other, so that if the people next to you whisper you can hear them.
3. Everyone is your server and they try and rush you to order and get you out of there.
a. Three different servers tried to come and get our order, not one asks, “how are you?” or any small talk. “Ready to order.”… 15 seconds after we sat down. Less than a minute later, “Ready to order.”…less than a minute later, “Ready to order.”
We’ll let you know when we’re ready to order.
4. I watched my sushi, sit on top of the bar for over 10 minutes while my girlfriend sat and waited with hers in front of her. The sushi was mediocre at best.
5. Asked 3 different people for extra wasabi and was ignored. Had to go to the sushi bar and ask the chef, who provided it immediately.
6. While I still had food on my plate and not even asked if we wanted anything else, someone came over with a tablet for payment. They were told we were not done eating.
7. When we done, they come over with a tablet, go over everything you ate and drank and stand over you and watch what you tip them. Then when you tell them them that it was not a very pleasant experience, they ignore you and take the tablet and walk away. Not a care what may have been wrong.
The wait staff, with the exception of one young man, were rude and not inviting. They were just trying to get tables turned as quickly as possible. I get it, it’s a business, but have a little personality. We will not be going back to this place.
When someone says they had a less than satisfactory experience, ask them why and at least apologize, whether you care or not. We didn’t want anything comped or free stuff. Just Listen!
We definitely will not be returning.

Went here twice before (lunch and dinner) and didn’t have any complaints either times. The food is great, though with the sushi, you sometimes have to give a few different rolls a try before you find one that you really like. Having said that, the service is quick, even with a full restaurant, and the employees are kind. The bathrooms and floors are very clean and sanitary. I’d visit again!

I have been here 3 times now and each time I am impressed. I ordered the steak and rice hibachi, the clear soup, green tea mochi and the Japanese sodas. The soda is such a fun experience to open and the food is phenomenal. They have all options for any kind of diet. This is definitely a great place to come to with the family.

Mizu Sushi in Lakewood Ranch is a gem! The variety on their menu is impressive, with so many creative rolls and fresh options that it’s hard to pick just one favorite. Every dish is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. If you’re a sushi lover or just looking for a great meal in the area, Mizu Sushi is a must-try!

We love this place! We found it randomly & it has become one of our favorite restaurants around. The sushi is fresh & delicious, the service is outstanding (everyone is so friendly!), and they keep the place very clean! It gets busy so sometimes there’s a wait, but it is 100% worth it! We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mizu Sushi!

1st time here. Staff was amazingly welcoming and friendly to everyone who walked in. Had spicy tuna and summer rolls, very good. For dinner we had shrimp tempura $17.95 (6 shrimp and 1 pc of ea yam, zucchini and broccoli) and combination tempura 22.95 (shrimp, chix veggies) both were good but was disappointed the shrimp was not tempura it was panko fried. Not the same as tempura. Panko when well done is tough and hard to eat, leaving us wondering where the shrimp was inside as there was so much panko and a small shrimp, albeit long and thin. Came with a small iceberg salad with ginger dressing, basic and white rice. Would not get these again, but presentation was a wow. Service was amazing. $75
