I’ve always got a hankering for some good ol’ barbecue, and today we wasn’t disappointed.
We went to Lowe’s to return an item and stopped off at the cowboy barbecue traveling truck on our way out.
This is a family run business who recently relocated from Colorado to Indiana to be closer to their grandkids.
During the week they work a day job on the weekend they sell barbecue at Lowes and what a dream they are fulfilling.
We got the pulled pork 1/3rd pound sandwich, and a pound of brisket. I can’t give any great praises other than excellent tasting food. Even without the BBQ sauce!
However I am a bit disappointed in their hot and spicy sauce; an original sauce they created. The flavors of both was rich and tangy.
I tried both sauces they offered. The hot and spicy BBQ and normal BBQ.
The “hot and spicy” was more spicy than hot and a bit too sweet for me.
You may enjoy a sweetness to your barbecue sauce but it was just overwhelming with sweetness for me.
Same with their normal barbecue sauce it also was a bit on the sweet side for me.
Both sauces is a good compliment to their meats. They do offer their competitors bbq sauce “sweet baby rays” if their sauce isn’t your fancy.
I recommend you to give this barbecue place or try because you will not be disappointed; the friendliness of the owners is just overwhelming. It definitely makes the experience a lot better than walking up to a truck who has people whom aren’t happy.

So good! Nothing but tender pork in their pulled pork. My family always requests the brisket, so we get some of both. I am going to miss them when they close up shop for the winter! Thank you Cowboy’s Dash BBQ for coming to Columbus!

Best BBQ in Colorado! Tasted like home (Texas) and felt like home cooking. Don’t waste your taste buds and hard earned Cheddar on chains, come to Buena Vista and fill up on tasty, juicy, smoked BBQ before visiting the river!
