You are so right about the Sea Hag. I lived in Depoe Bay from birth until I was 22 and have great memories of it!

Gracies has become our no-brainer go to resturant anytime we are on the coast. The halibut is so fresh and cooked to perfection, the chowder is to die for (even my people who don’t like any other clam chowder love it!!), and the servers are all super sweet and accommodating. Well worth the price!! Full menu (+valentines 2026 special menu) are below!! Go enjoy

The clam chowder was really good—thick, creamy, and packed with real clams. I also tried the combo platter, and it was super tasty with a nice mix of seafood: fish, prawns, scallops, and clams. The baby cocktail shrimp were fresh and delicious, and the sautéed veggies were a great touch.

The place itself feels cozy, and I loved the fun, colorful sea-animal glasses. The staff were really friendly, and the prices were fair for what you get. Overall, a really nice spot to enjoy some great seafood.

The clam chowder was flavorless, the potato’s and onions were so raw they were crunchy. My hubby ordered the coconut halibut and it tasted like freezerburn while also being intensely dry. My seafood pasta was okay. Just seems very overpriced for such low quality food! The atmosphere is chill for families but would not come here again.

Gracie Sea hag is a classic old seafood place with great food and reasonable prices.

I had an old favorite and rare these days sandwich, the Monte Cristo. It was nicely, battered, crispy and tasty.

The combination seafood platter is full of fresh and perfectly cooked seafood. Also very good.

The clam chowder was made from scratch with nice chunks of clam but too much potato.

Sadly we were lied to repeatedly.
We got there and there was a 50 min wait, yet we passed empty tables.
We got in 50 mins later.
Took about 10 mins to get water and order.
Was told 30 min wait for food.
45 mins later no food- was told almost out..
At 55 mins after order still no food. Told again it’s coming right out.
At 1 hour and 10 mins it finally came out.
Meanwhile, tables were empty all around us.
And the coal chowder is not the best on the coast…. MO’s is better.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Worth the stop in Depoe Bay! Great food, friendly service, and stunning coastal views. ☕️

We stopped by Gracie’s Sea Hag in Depoe Bay during our Oregon Coast trip, and it was a delight from start to finish! The moment we walked in, the cozy maritime atmosphere set the tone — rustic charm, friendly staff, and that classic seaside energy.

We started with a drink that made me smile — the “Jamaican Me Crazy” — ohhhh, it was crazy good! Then we had their famous clam chowder, which absolutely lived up to its reputation: rich, creamy, and comforting. A dash of Tabasco made it even better! For our entrée, we had the fish and chips, cooked to perfection — fresh, flavorful, and not overly greasy.

At first, I thought they could’ve given us more French fries, but it actually turned out to be the perfect amount! We left absolutely full — ready to take a little stroll to walk off our happy bellies in this cute coastal town.

Service was warm and personable. Even though the restaurant was busy, the team was attentive and genuinely friendly, making the experience feel welcoming and relaxed. Another plus — the bathrooms were clean!

The ocean view across the street adds to the charm. Depoe Bay is a beautiful little town known for whale watching, with an outlook center and affordable tours nearby. The boats come out of the harbor — which, as the sign says, is the world’s smallest navigable harbor — glide underneath the pretty bridge, and dash straight into the breaking waves. It’s probably even more fun if you’re actually on the boat! ️ ⚓️

If you’re exploring the Oregon Coast, Gracie’s Sea Hag is absolutely worth the stop! Delicious drinks, amazing fish and chips, award-worthy chowder, and that timeless coastal hospitality that keeps you smiling long after you leave.

Depoe Bay is a perfect place to stop or stay at. ✨

The food was AMAZING. Perfect layering of so many delicious flavors. I had the stuffed Chinook salmon and my husband had the pink shrimp melt. Not only was it all fresh seafood but the accompanying sauces were so flavorful. Portion sizes were great and it was a great atmosphere. Just stopped in for a casual lunch and will now be coming back for sure. Service was timely and friendly! Definitely recommend!

If you like potato soup with clams this is the place to go.
I will never come here again. The chowder is too sweet.
I couldn’t even eat it.
Sad day for me on the Oregon Coast.
The service was meh. Not once did the waitress ask how things were.
It wasn’t even busy.

Wonderful rustic seaside atmosphere. A highly attentive server. Open fire pit with seats around it. Great food! I had the Salmon and Halibut Braid. It was delicious. The crab and shrimp sauce on top was to die for. Very rich and tasty bread pudding with bourbon sauce for dessert, and topped it off with a Depoe Bay Hazy IPA. Very happy with my meal. The view was amazing! We were able to catch the sunset from the sidewalk out front. See pics below.
