Reviews
The place itself feels cozy, and I loved the fun, colorful sea-animal glasses. The staff were really friendly, and the prices were fair for what you get. Overall, a really nice spot to enjoy some great seafood.
Friendly staff and good food.
The hubs loved his clam chowder. The clam pieces were large and plentiful. Perfect dollop of
Salads were fresh; I really love the peas!
Crab cakes was full of crab and had a bit ok a kick!
I had an old favorite and rare these days sandwich, the Monte Cristo. It was nicely, battered, crispy and tasty.
The combination seafood platter is full of fresh and perfectly cooked seafood. Also very good.
The clam chowder was made from scratch with nice chunks of clam but too much potato.
We got there and there was a 50 min wait, yet we passed empty tables.
We got in 50 mins later.
Took about 10 mins to get water and order.
Was told 30 min wait for food.
45 mins later no food- was told almost out..
At 55 mins after order still no food. Told again it’s coming right out.
At 1 hour and 10 mins it finally came out.
Meanwhile, tables were empty all around us.
And the coal chowder is not the best on the coast…. MO’s is better.
We stopped by Gracie’s Sea Hag in Depoe Bay during our Oregon Coast trip, and it was a delight from start to finish! The moment we walked in, the cozy maritime atmosphere set the tone — rustic charm, friendly staff, and that classic seaside energy.
We started with a drink that made me smile — the “Jamaican Me Crazy” — ohhhh, it was crazy good! Then we had their famous clam chowder, which absolutely lived up to its reputation: rich, creamy, and comforting. A dash of Tabasco made it even better! For our entrée, we had the fish and chips, cooked to perfection — fresh, flavorful, and not overly greasy.
At first, I thought they could’ve given us more French fries, but it actually turned out to be the perfect amount! We left absolutely full — ready to take a little stroll to walk off our happy bellies in this cute coastal town.
Service was warm and personable. Even though the restaurant was busy, the team was attentive and genuinely friendly, making the experience feel welcoming and relaxed. Another plus — the bathrooms were clean!
The ocean view across the street adds to the charm. Depoe Bay is a beautiful little town known for whale watching, with an outlook center and affordable tours nearby. The boats come out of the harbor — which, as the sign says, is the world’s smallest navigable harbor — glide underneath the pretty bridge, and dash straight into the breaking waves. It’s probably even more fun if you’re actually on the boat! ️ ⚓️
If you’re exploring the Oregon Coast, Gracie’s Sea Hag is absolutely worth the stop! Delicious drinks, amazing fish and chips, award-worthy chowder, and that timeless coastal hospitality that keeps you smiling long after you leave.
Depoe Bay is a perfect place to stop or stay at. ✨
I will never come here again. The chowder is too sweet.
I couldn’t even eat it.
Sad day for me on the Oregon Coast.
The service was meh. Not once did the waitress ask how things were.
It wasn’t even busy.
