This Firehouse Subs location was above average. The food was good and the atmosphere was inviting. They got our subs out quicker than normal so kuddos for the staff on that. Next time I am in the area I will definitely stop by again.

My family and I stopped at Firehouse Subs for a quick dinner. The store was very clean and the staff immediately greeted us. I ordered the meatball pizza sub and let me tell you, IT WAS AMAZING. This was also my kids first time at a firehouse subs. They were telling me how it was so flavorful and that it beats subway hands down. They keep asking to go back. Keep up the amazing work Firehouse.

You may want to take an anti depressant before visiting. The girl taking my order refused to speak above a whisper or even look up. I tipped on my card right away when prompted & then again in cash. There were about 7 people waiting on food & the workers moved as if they were in quicksand, with annoyed faces. I NEVER mind waiting my turn if the people serving appear to be trying even a little. If it wasn’t for the gentlemen working the two ladies should have just taken a break. I would have just left w/out food but family wanted subs. Subs were OK, but I wanted mine pretty plain, meat & caramelized onions. There was one very tiny onion & about 1/2 cup of mayo dripping off my sub, did not eat. No one ate all of their food. If you like horrible service ironically, this is the place for you. They do have great seating/windows & it was pretty clean. I read some other reviews & I did see the manager poke her head out & speak to workers, if the work environment is miserable I am sorry for them. The many customers I saw were nice to the VERY somber staff.

Firehouse has great subs but my dealings with the GM were even better. Zander went out of the way to help with an issue we had with an online order. Kindness goes a long way even if you don’t get a quick resolution. The GM repeatedly apologized humbly even though there was no fault with the store or anything they had direct involvement in. Thanks for going the extra mile Zander and Happy Holidays!

I originally ordered a tuna sub but when arrived was made aware they have no tuna. I then ordered a steak sub with onion lettuce and mayo. I don’t know what sauce was on it but was not mayo. The sub bread was so soaked with something that the sub tasted horrible and couldn’t eat it. Also the sub was not toasted. It is no surprise being its Bowling Green KY location. Most franchises of other chains are great elsewhere but terrible in Bowling Green. Maybe I will try the new location next time but definitely won’t return to this one.

I was in there at lunch time today, and the lady with the purple hair, I’m assuming she was a manger… she reprimanded her entire staff in front of the whole restaurant and loud enough for everyone to hear. It seriously seemed like she wanted to embarrass her staff. I honestly felt really bad for everyone working there today. They all looked defeated as if nothing they do is good enough for her. She first off yelled and demanded everyone put down what they’re doing and look at her. Keep in mind, the restaurant was very busy at this point, and I placed a to-go order that wasn’t ready and I’ve already been there 10 or so minutes. She then began to tell her staff that she better hear everyone greet customers as soon as they enter and leave the establishment. Maybe I’m missing something, but I think she needs to be kinder to her staff and maybe she would get a different work ethic out of them. She definitely seems like the type of manger that demands respect, wants to be a hard ass and being “manger” goes to her head. I hope the owners read this. She definitely needs to learn some kindness and also not let the entire restaurant know, if there is a problem.

On my visit, I was greeted at the door and everyone was patient as I looked over the large selection of subs. Chose the hook and ladder sub as a safe choice as I didn’t want to spend 11 dollars on a sub this visit. Sub was warm after the toasting which did melt the cheese but was not overly hot to have come directly from the little ovens they have. The sandwich was very tasty and the bread is soft even after the toasting. Overall it was a good meal and I will come back to try other items. They serve cookies and have the multisoda machine that adds flavors etc to your choice. Place was super clean, bright, and spacious.
