This plate consisted of tortilla chips, cheese, beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, jalapeños, and choice of meat.
Meat options were steak, chicken, al pastor, chorizo, veggie, ground beef, skirt steak, and birria.
I chose the steak.
The chips to toppings ratio was balanced.
The portion size was enough for 1 adult.
The pricing was reasonable.
Overall, I really enjoyed this plate. The toppings station makes the nachos stand out even more.
I would order these nachos again.

I went to Southridge Mall to pick up some a quick item & was a little hungry so I decided to give La Mesa a try. I’m so glad I did! My elote with hot flaming & 1 birria taco was so good. I will definitely be back! I love the fact they make everything right in front of you & have a bar of add ons for you to see & choose from.

They were very kind to cater food for my son’s first birthday and they ended up giving us extra food and it was absolutely delicious!! The service is incredibly kind and thoughtful. The guacamole was amazing.

Ordered delivery. First time we have ordered from this restaurant. Food exceeded our expectations, as we have been disappointed with some recent restaurant choices. Great flavor to meats as well as rice and beans. Definitely ordering from this restaurant again.
UPDATE: We ordered from La Mesa Mexican Grille again today (one week later). I ordered steak fajitas. The serving size was way small, especially for price. Steak way too done. Husband had same experience with his items. Presentation and quality totally different today. Shame. Inconsistent restaurants lose my business. Food today was definitely not worth the cost.

I know the difference between a basic taco and a fantastic taco, and La Mesa is probably the best taco in Wisconsin. Cooked right, great portion size, it’s made in front of you. Very friendly staff, I’m practically here 4 times a week!!! If there’s a long line when you’re there, it’s because the place is worth the wait!! I bought some tacos for some colleagues at work and they even told me it’s great as well! Don’t forget to like this recommendation! You’re welcome! -Taco connoisseur from Chicago

I visited this restaurant today located inside Southridge mall. The “manager” had poor customer service. I ordered two kid’s meal (One chicken quesadilla on flour and one ground beef taco on flour), two steak tacos on flour, one steak taco on corn, one nacho supreme and two fountain drinks for kids. I noticed that the manager chose to use the largest size cup for kids but I assumed it was standard. I was charged 5.00 a piece for soda for kids! The manager not once asked was it ok yet assumed I was willing to pay for the most expensive items on the menu. I was given a taco on corn (which should have been flour because that’s what I asked for the kid’s meal), the manager argued with me that I did not ask for flour so she again charged me for something I never asked for and said I would have to pay an additional .75 for flour! Very unprofessional and money hungry, in my opinion. The food was hot and fresh but POOR customer service!

I order the birria tacos meal ( includes the broth) ( supposedly) ( paid +3 for an extra taco)and tlayuda. Then when my order was ready the girl that took my order didn’t want to give me the broth because it wasn’t included. So I asked her how much extra do I have to pay for it. She said 2.50 which I wasn’t going to pay 15.00+ for just tacos. Then I asked her that I wanted to talk to someone else. She said with a very bad attitude that they were busy and wasn’t gonna do anything or get someone else. I talked to another lady and was very polite and said that my broth was included and that she was very sorry for the girls attitude.
Otherwise food was great.
Young girl was just rude to everyone plus she messed a lot of people’s order.
