We arrived at 4:30 on a Friday. The inside was busy and preparing to play bingo ( it was very loud) and the outside was empty. We walked in and the host stand had a sign asking to wait to be seated. Stood there as others came in the door and just sat down so we proceeded to do the same. The host/server was in the back of the restaurant sitting and rolling silverware. She saw us and got up to bring us menus. She was the only server of the entire restaurant and it took 20 minutes each time she left our table to come back. The Po Boys was absolutely disgusting. The shrimp had its tails still on it and hadn’t been deveined. Zero flavor. It was shrimp, lettuce, and tomato on bread for almost $17. The other entrees were just okay. Asked for a refill and never got one.
There’s smoking allowed on the patio so if you hate that then I’d avoid sitting out there. We didn’t know it until we had already sat and ordered.
Pros: it’s next door to the campground and the view is of the lake.
10/10 Would not go there again. I’d make the drive to Renegades before coming here.

It used to be great. The location is amazing. The servers are all wonderful. The food depends on who’s cooking. Usually really good. They don’t have any karaoke or live bands any more. The parking lot is sandy, like most places around here. The parking spots are tight.

This is a review of Porky’s Bar & Grill. not the lodge.
I rarely post negative reviews but this experience was so bad we feel the need to warn others. Evidently they are under new ownership and needing to work out quite a few kinks.
Menu: Online menu (website & Google) is not up to date so don’t be fooled as we were. Boat slip menu only available (no entrees except on weekends due to lack of servers & cooks), many errors on the menu (nachos don’t actually come with chicken as posted- extra $4 charge) and they were out what we tried to order off the menu – Italian sausage.
Service: Only 1 server (who is also the bartender inside) & 1 cook during the week. We arrived at 5:30pm. Other outside tables had already ordered and were finishing their meals. Inside tables were unoccupied, aside from those sitting at the bar. We were there 25 min before our food order was taken. We got cold out on the deck when the sun set (6:15pm) before our meal arrived so we had to retreat inside to eat.
Food: Once we finally got our burgers, mine had incorrect toppings and was past well done vs. medium that I ordered. Coleslaw was tasteless and sweet tots tasted like they had been under a warmer for quite a while.
Pros: atmosphere out on the deck when the sun is shining great!

My Friend and I got the Best Pizza I ever had in years. Home made homemade dough and sauce. We had pepperoni and cheese. Had good conversation with a nice couple from Massachusetts. Told them they had to try the pizza. They ordered one also and enjoyed it. Great place to take your family. Friendly staff…

Worst service ever never got our food party of 10 everyone ate but us and another lady never got a ranch dressing. They told us for a half hour that they were making it would not recommend this place!

Went on a Wednesday evening, sat outside, order drinks, and chicken wings and a brisket sandwich, waited over a hour no food, the waitress never came back out to see if we were OK, or explain why it was taking so long, and it wasn’t that busy, she only had a few people at the bar. We took our food to go. The wing were good , the brisket sandwich was trouble, won’t be back.

Loved the place, the staff was very inviting and the owner came up and introduce himself too us, it made us feel like part of the family. The band was also allsome. If you are in the area, this is definitely a place to stop.
