Reviews
We were greeted promptly and kindly upon arrival and were seated close to the door in a booth. We received chips very quickly however that is where the good service ends. Our waitress (receipt says Emma though she never said her name) came to get our drink order my husband made a joke she did not laugh(that’s fine as his wife I know he’s not that funny) he then asked for coffee her only response was to shake her head no. She offered no verbal response my husband asked for a different drink she again shook her head no and said “the drinks are on the back”. Dryly and with no friendly tone. We didn’t take it personally because we understand people have bad days. My husband then asked for a Mexican Coke I said I would have the same she did not acknowledge us just walked away and brought our drinks a short while later still we let that go. Then came time to order our food my husband ordered the carne asada and specifically asked to add grilled jalapeños to his meal our waitress said “an order of grilled jalapeños” he said “no please add it to my meal” she said “mhm” and made a displeased face. I ordered the pollo fundido which is supposed to be “grilled chicken breast” with onions bell peppers and tomatoes covered in cheese dip served with rice beans and tortillas. I asked for no peppers and no tomatoes and cheese dip on the side I also requested corn tortillas. Our waitress made an annoyed face and said “you don’t want what?” I repeated my order she again made a face didn’t acknowledge me and walked away. At this point I told my husband I think she doesn’t like us he laughed and said it’s okay maybe she’s just tired. We got our food quickly. My husbands grilled jalapeños were a side order and fried and my chicken breast was fajita style chicken. I mentioned my chicken to my husband he said tell her I said no it was fine and I would just eat it. When our waiter came back my husband asked her about my chicken to which she again made a face and said with a lot of attitude “on the menu it didn’t specify chicken breast filet”. I said well in every Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to grilled chicken breast is a filet chicken breast. She said if it doesn’t say filet it means it’s not a fillet she said this looking almost angry and had a very nasty tone. I let it go. She came back after about a minute and dropped our check off and said she was going on break but that someone would be by to check on us and walked away no kindness or friendliness. No one ever came by. We went to pay and my husband actually had to find the man I assume is the manager and ask if he could cash us out since the man was too busy watching tv at the bar. All in all food was okay though menu descriptions definitely need clarification but the service was very poor. Having worked in the industry I know many people see Hispanic people and think we don’t tip well. I’m writing this review in hopes our waitress understands the importance of treating everyone well even if you think they won’t tip well. My husband and I tip 20% for bad service we’ve been known to tip $20 on a couple beers. We went out today to celebrate the closing of a huge contract for us and were hoping to tip our server $100. sadly that did not happen you were still tipped okay but I hope you learn from this. We most likely will not be back.
Your chips are old per texture and taste.
Very disappointed
