The food was very flavorful. I tried multiple drinks & each one had a good hit to them which means they’re not watered down. The staff was very nice. They checked in on you like you were at your family’s house. It was def a good vibe here. I’ll def be a return customer. Looking forward to their live music nights & everything else they plan to offer.

This place was really nice. We went for my mother in laws birthday. There wasn’t any live music though. They said it was coming soon, which wasn’t a problem for us. The food came really fast. I got the smothered chicken with Mac n cheese and greens. The gravy was tasty. It was hot and good. The greens were great and tender. The oxtail was so tender it fell off the bone. It was seasoned well. The drinks were also good. The kids loved their food as well. Everyone left very full.

I want to give this place a 4.8 but can’t be that specific on here. My only few complaints was the wobbly table which can definitely easily be fixed, and the fried catfish was a little too fishy! The Greens and all the rest of our food and drinks were absolutely amazing! We definitely will be going back!

This is a very nice soul food restaurant. The owner Nikki ( I hope I spelled it right) was wonderful. The service, food and ambience were all top notch. I will definitely be back to try the other menus. Thanks my sista for bringing good food to the burbs.

The food was really good. The only feedback I have is I order the smothered chicken which came with sauteed veggies on top. I would have like more gravey on my chicken and the veggies should have been warmed.

I have been here twice. (1st time)) The food was good however it was on the colder side and needed the food warmed up. (2nd time) Recommended the place to family and the food was again cold and the drinks watered down. There was no Compromise for the inconvenience only promises to do better on the next visit. Will not be back unfortunately.

Our server was nice, but clearly very green. We had to ask her her name, for water refills and she seemed to be unfamiliar with what food was available. Some food was out…at dinnertime. We thought there was going to be live music, but there was not. The atmosphere was nice and the food was actually very good. I will try again in a couple months.

This is such a great spot. Good vibes and Great food! I had the smothered pork chops they were so tender and delicious. The Mac and cheese and green were a perfect combo the flavors blend together nicely. I will definitely be back! Let me not forget the service from the staff Gold Star
