Great Mexican food. This time I did lunch. Nothing crazy, just the chimichanga and chips. Authentic Mexican cuisine.

I took my mother, son, DIL and grands for dinner on a Friday night. The place was pretty busy and rightfully so. The service was outstanding, the drinks were very good and on time. The food was excellent!! I can’t say enough about this place. We’ll definitely be back!!

Service was excellent and food came out quick. The steak in one of our meals didn’t seem to have much seasoning, and our shrimp was so overcooked it was hard to cut into it with a knife. The experience was still good enough, so we’ll go back and try it again and hopefully will have a better report on our meat next time.

First time here. Excellent atmosphere, very clean and well-lit. Real cloth table coverings, excellent salsa to go with the fresh chips. Ice water is fantastic, no strange flavors.
Lunch menu is great, we got a chicken chimichanga and a beef chimichanga, and a “Tony’s Lunch Special” that was seasoned grilled chicken breast, over rice, with black beans, corn, and chunks of avocado with some queso on the side. All were delicious, beautiful presentation. The chicken chimi had shredded chicken, with no fillers. The beef chimi was all ground beef, and well seasoned too. We will definitely come back.

Great little place to have a bite of real authentic mexican food in Mt. Pleasant IA. The ambience here was very warm and homely. The owner introduced herself. She has been here for 20 years and going strong. I had the pleasure of having an evening meal of Tostadas and rice. My friend had the chicken Fajitas. The food was oooohh so good. The owner also gave a us her history of how she started the business. There is also a family portrait of the Owner “Ana” and her 2 sons painted on the wall. If ur ever passing through or just in Mt. Pleasant IA… Stop in and have some of the best Mexican dishes in the Midwest! U won’t be disappointed. Great job Little Mexico. I’ll be coming back!

Good food, good service & fair pricing. Would go back! Salsa was great- I am not a fan of spicy Salasa — this had just the right flavor and little zest. Super good.

The service was quick but the food was disappointing. My chicken taco was nearly tasteless, and my chili relleno was extremely greasy. I don’t often find a restaurant that I would actively avoid in the future, but I would actively avoid this one.

Best little hidden gem! The “Sombrero” was the best steak fajitas I’ve ever had! Delicious!

Loved loved the salsa, the pico, the white queso cheese dip and both entrees!
Carne asada with rice and beans AND Tequila Fiesta chicken ! Only wish they had fountain Coke products [ they have can soda].

Little Mexico, us just that! Authentic Mexican food with a Thai flare and Iowan hospitality! The fusion of flavors like the Mango jalapeno shrimp, or the fresh salsa sever in a decanter, combines with the frescos on the wall were stunning.
We drove all the way from Burlington just to taste the legendary dishes, and suggest you do as well. Certainly a dinning experience your taste buds will love.
