We are a full-service Tapas & Italian restaurant and wine bar offering indoor and outdoor seating in the historic Humphreys Rodgers House in downtown Huntsville. We are currently open for Lunch Thursday through Saturday and Dinner Monday through Saturday. You can book dinner with the option to reserve a table in our Barbara Anne Dining Room and on our beautiful front porch, and Lunch is currently first-come first-served with reservations taken over the phone.

One of THE BEST ravioli dinners I’ve ever had! The pumpkin ravioli seemed too irresistible to pass up and I’m amazed at how delicious it was! We ordered two flavors of the focaccia bread and my daughter had the gnocchi and my son in law ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. We all LOVED our meals! The caprese salad was delicious too!!! Can’t wait to go back and try something new!!!

Everything about Mazzara’s is unique. We have been several times and every time we get one of the specials for our main course and Chef does an amazing job. But the standard apps and salads are delicious and it has the best charcuterie, especially for the price. The staff is very knowledgeable and always warm. It is located in a historic house which creates a very cool atmosphere. If you don’t drink, you can get out of here for a steal….but I highly recommend pairing your food with their wine menu!

We had the calamari, rigatoni chicken pasta, and a chicken parm sandwich. Calamari could’ve been seasoned a bit more, but otherwise it was all delicious! Will definitely hit up Mazzara’s again next time we’re in Huntsville.

I took my husband here to celebrate his 29th birthday, and had an absolutely wonderful experience. It was full when we visited, so I’d recommend getting a reservation in advance. Our waiter Keith was very knowledgeable about every dish and wine, and he truly strived to make sure our experience there was perfect. The historic house the restaurant is in is beautiful and has so much character. I would highly recommend looking around in the other dining rooms after you’ve had your meal. If you like wine, consider ordering a wine flight. They are served beautifully on a tower, and it’s a great way to taste many new wines for the first time. Unexpectedly, we picked a favorite from our flight and when we asked our waiter about it, he let us know that we could purchase a bottle from them to take home at a very reasonable retail price which we were very happy about. As a tapa, we ordered the lemon shrimp eggplant rollatini and the different flavors melting together were incredible. I wouldn’t skip ordering a salad, and between my baby arugula and radicchio salad, and my husband’s vine ripe tomato caprese salad, I could not pick a favorite. My husband and I both ordered dishes from the limited seasonal menu, (Ricotta Gnocchi, and Penne Pasta Primavera) and they were both excellent. If you like shrimp, I would highly recommend the gnocchi if you visit when it’s available because it was so warm and fresh. The house made gnocchi is unbelievably good. Make sure that you also order The fresh focaccia with your meal – you will not regret it! For dessert, we ordered Chimed chocolate Marquis (which I sadly forgot the photograph before digging in) and it was so incredibly decadent, combining fruit and deep chocolate flavors. Keep in mind if you have a food allergy they are very conscious of that and are happy to make accommodations. They also brought us champagne to toast my husband’s birthday which was so kind. The only thing I didn’t love, was that as we were dining upstairs in one of the smaller rooms, the acoustics are that which you would expect in a historic house, and it was a bit loud with multiple lively conversions going on, (there were two other birthdays and a retirement in our dining area) and a family with several well behaved younger children. If this might be an issue or you get easily overstimulated, we visited on a weeknight, and I’d recommend getting your reservation later at 7:30 or 8:00 because well before we left, we were the only guests in our dining area and it was very quiet. There isn’t designated parking but they do have street parking, and a parking deck right next door. Definitely give this place a try. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a warm atmosphere and wonderful Italian.

Caden Martone was our waiter, he was very knowledgeable and friendly, he knew the food and was warm and welcoming and really made our dining experience the best ever! We started with the mussels with chorizo and parmesan cheese, we both ate the osso buco with pasta dish and the brownie with lemoncello whipped cream, (which was a special request) was to die for! Tho whole experience was a 10. I have already told several people i know to eat here and we will definitely be back. Thank you for making our night amazing! We look forward to our next meal with you.

We enjoyed a delightful evening with dear friends on the front porch of this historic home, now repurposed as a fine dining Italian restaurant. From appetizer to dessert, the menu is filled with delicious Italian cuisine. I enjoyed the traditional Carmela’s meatballs and pasta, while others delighted in seafood or pasta dishes. The Carmela’s dish has housemade fettuccine done perfectly al dente and a wonderfully fresh red sauce.
Soft background music played as were thoroughly taken care of by our superb server, Kate. She seemed to have a knack of showing up at just the right time without being intrusive, yet meeting our every dining need. She kept our glasses filled and the table empty of used plates as new dishes arrived. We could not have been more pleased with the food and service here at Mazzara’s!

At 1st glance didn’t realize it was a restaurant when we pulled up after driving around the block twice. I ordered the veal parm, the veal was absolutely amazing the pasta not so much the flavor was abit off, although the noodles were perfectly cooked. And the desert was incredible. Our waitress was definitely impressive and very attentive.

OMG! A hidden gem we just found out about. Mazzara’s is the perfect place to go for a delicious quiet dinner. It is in a historic house hidden away behind Early Works, the children’s museum. Although, I think it is not really a place to go after the museum. We were lead into a room with only a few tables, so the atmosphere was very pleasant. Our server, Shea, was also very pleasant & helpful in out selection of dishes. I started with the fried watermelon salad which was delicious. My husband started with the Caesar salad, which was very different & very good. Then I had the artichoke ravioli which was covered in a green sauce. It was also delicious. My husband had the spaghetti & meatballs which had lots of meatballs & he said it was perfect. The meatballs & the sauce were just right to taste. Dessert was tiramisu for me, which I would say I think was the best tiramisu I ever ate. He had the cheesecake which he also thought was very good.

We had a reservation for 4 at 745p; however, when we arrived at 740p we were told our table was not ready. The party currently at our table had not left and they did not know how long it would be. We sat on the couch by the front door and within several minutes the Manager came to us with 4 nice glasses of Proseco and an apology. Very much appreciated and classy!
We did not wait much longer and our table was ready upstairs: dimmed lighting, tables far enough apart where you are not on top of another party and a large screen television with old movies playing.
Tom was our server and he was excellent. He did not rush us and kept a great pace to keep us on track. He gave us fantastic recommendations and described the food perfectly.
We ordered calamari, charcuterie board and meatballs for the table. Everything was fresh and delicious. The calamari was perfectly cooked. Plenty of cheese varieties on the board and the meatballs had to be made by an Italian Grandmother because they were amazing. We also ordered several wine flights, which I thought was a creative idea. It was a great variety and all of the wines were great. We also ordered an entree of meatballs and another pasta dish that includes a meat, which they say is similar to a pot roast. For desert, we had the cheesecake: creamy, fresh and perfect.
Overall, a great experience with wonderful service and delicious food.
