Excellent service, taste of food doesn’t match the price. Had calamari as an appetizer, it was probably the best part of the meal. Sauce is on the bottom. My husband had a vodka basil drink and a salad they were ok. He ordered the 6oz steak, medium rare with mashed potatoes I ordered the salmon with creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts. Both the steak and the salmon came rare. He ate his, without requesting to be cooked more. I took mine to go and cooked it more at home. The creamed spinach was excellent. While i should have paid more attention to the description on the brussels sprouts which had bacon and maple syrup and i only like my desserts sweet. We ordered cannoli and tiramisu to go. The cannoli’s were excellent dark chocolate covered with a smooth cream filling. The tiramisu was the biggest let down of all as it was really more of an Italian cream cake and had NO coffee flavor at all. Total cost with tip about $150. In summary, not very impressed with the food, but the service was excellent and seeing as they were not very busy everyone pitched in and helped each other.
Response to Owner’s Response
There was no need for me to read the other reviews to know that you are a new business; I am aware that you are new. I pass by everyday.
Should the fact that the “6oz filet medallion was offered at a temperature of medium or well “be noted in the description on the menu? Should the cook have also know that particular steak could only be cooked medium or well? It seems if something deviates from the norm, the owner should create many checkpoints to prevent that deviation from happening.
Why would you set your team up for failure by offering something “nearly impossible to cook to temp” and place the blame solely on the server who didn’t cook it? If the cook had known the medallions were only to be cooked well or medium, why didn’t the cook speak up? Maybe the cook and the server didn’t know. But most importantly, if a steak was only available in two temperatures, why wasn’t it noted in the description? Did the server write the description?
It sounds as if you are saying my experience was ALL your server’s fault. The server you trained in your new restaurant? All I saw from your servers that night was a giant TEAM working together to create an enjoyable evening for the handful of diners you had. My server was the best part of the meal and the reason I tried your restaurant.
I use google reviews to provide a review based on my initial experience, not on the ability to correct what I perceive as wrong or right. There was no need to guess who did it. I’m sure there were not that many people that had the same order that Friday night and my name is published with my review. I was not seeking my money back from my review nor was I expecting the owner to respond with blame. I was seeking a nice place to visit in Southaven for good food that night and from my review I was informing others of MY opinion. I expected the owner to take ownership.
Who is to blame for the other issues I discussed? Especially the fact that the Tiramisu is not even Tiramisu? I think the blame goes to more than just the server, but I’m just a Google Reviewer with over a million views to my photos, so who am I? Thank you for your response. It gave me a lot of insight.

It was good Italian food. We had Lasagna and squid ink pasta. Was a little pricey. Dont mind paying for good food but can get the same quality for cheaper.

The fried cheese was great! We went on a Saturday night and didn’t have to wait for a table. We had the lasagna, it was good and had lots of sauce and cheese.

The food was really good, but I agree with the other reviewers that the prices are way too high.
We weren’t very hungry so we chose to split a meal. There is a $6 charge for splitting, so we paid $34 before tip for a pasta dish and water.
Our server was very awkward. I’m guessing he’s new to serving and still perfecting his speal. In addition to saying some odd and kind of rude things he took our bread basket before we were finished with it and before our food came out!
My rating would be lower except that the food was tasty and well-prepared. The portions were generous. But we aren’t likely to come back due to the price. There are other places we like to go if we want to splurge and usually we get something that’s a better value than pasta. We were hoping this would be a place we would go to often for date nights and family dinners, but it isn’t.

Very slow service. Not the experience I expected for the price. We waited to be seated with many open tables and tons of servers standing around. Only 4 seated tables in the restaurant and it took an hour to get our food. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was wonderful. We also ordered 2 nightly specials the Cajun seafood pasta and the shrimp scampi ravioli. The seafood pasta was good but the raviolis were not stuffed raviolis as you would expect. There were 6-7 flat sheets of pasta laying over the stuffing. This was our first time to visit this restaurant. We were definite looking forward to it as it is owned by the same people as The Grillhouse just down the road. But disappointed to say the least.

Great atmosphere with excellent lighting that’s not intrusive. Good service. But….. $25 spaghetti and meatballs. It was good but Lonnie Tants tastes just as good and same size serving for much less. I was thinking maybe it’s lamb, but it’s just regular beef. Salad was lame. Appetizer was good but again too much money. My daughter and I had the app and two spaghetti with meatballs, no soda tea or anything else. After 20% tip I paid $97. Not worth it, not even close.

My husband and I had dinner here about a week ago and their food was absolutely amazing. The cheese sticks were more like cheese logs! They are on the menu under appetizers but you could definitely eat these as a meal alone. I’ve never had anything like it. The lasagna was exceptional! Service was top notch. I don’t see how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. With us living so close, we will be returning very soon.

Was visiting here from out of state and went to Maryonos. What a nice surprise! Our server was Kacey and she was very familiar with the menu. She recommended a wonderful appetizer and our meals were fantastic, as promised. The only complaint I have is the blinds on the windows were up and the parking lot traffic and the street lights were quite annoying. It kind of ruined the atmosphere of an upscale restaurant

Just finished my son’s birthday dinner there. I had read the reviews and to be honest I loved the owner feedback. I made reservations because there were 6 of us. Our server Trent was awesome. He took great care of us. The food was amazing. I waited just about as long as i expected to wait for good food and it was well worth it. Portions were good sized and everyone in our group loved the dinner especially my birthday boy who never tries new food. I did not find the food to be overpriced because we couldnt finish it so we all have lunch for tommorrow.

We went on the first night they were open go the public, and it was wonderful! To me, that’s saying a lot, because it usually takes a little while for a new place to get all of the kinks worked out.
We had the toasted ravioli and truffle fries as an appetizer. I had the crab stuffed shrimp with the Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes as my sides. The Brussels were amazing, as were the shrimp. The mashed potatoes were meh- nothing wrong enough them, but nothing that stood out either.
I was very happy to see that there was a children’s menu. My boys had the spaghetti with meat sauce and the chicken tenders. Everything was enjoyed.
The service was on point with the servers working as a team to take care of everyone’s needs. I will be happy to return and will recommend this place to my friends.
