We have struggled to find the “right” sushi place after moving to this area of Texas. So so so glad we went to this great, not-so-little restaurant. The fish is EXCELLENT, never fishy. The hand rolls are really good, the fried rolls are luscious, and the staff is very attentive, friendly and indulge the little ones in our family. That matters. Big shout out to Mika, our favorite waitress, and can’t wait to visit again to try new rolls and dishes. We love sushi, we really love Oishi Sushi !

Our server, Ellen, was incredible. Super friendly, and very knowledgeable. Portions were amazing, and all of the ingredients were fresh and prepared beautifully. Our only critique is that the portions are actually too large- we wanted to try a lot more of the menu but couldn’t! Looks like we will have to keep coming back. Thank you so much Ellen for such a wonderful experience.

Tried this spot for the all-you-can-eat sushi. But opted not to order the all you can eat. Heads up—they charge per piece if you overorder and don’t finish, so pace yourself! The salad had way too much dressing, was really soupy. Sushi was okay, not the best but decent for the price. Our waitress was super friendly and explained everything well, which made the experience better.

Clean sushi, great staff, great time.
Went for Maddie’s birthday . And she didn’t really want her picture taken. But you know how Japanese love thier cameras. And it came out great and on the wall. I think they wanted me to see the camera. It was really neat, kinda like a,Polaroid. But came out more like a 35 mm picture. Great and friendly staff. If you want this is the place. If money’s tight make sure to go at lunch, its $17 for all you can eat. To double at dinner. My first time i fiund out the hard way. Had to force down an extra 9-10 pieces. Had the same waitress that we had the first time. The 1st time she was, like eat it or o will have to charge you 1 dollar a piece, they give you 2 pieces per person, anything over they charge. It was the 1st we had since the 1st time we ate there. A,must on the give it go!!

Wow what a fantastic experience, I would gladly go back and recommend to anyone. Prices are spot on and food is great quality. My server went above and beyond what I could have asked for.
I have never had a server so accommodating, and caring for the food, and children; helping us order and so on. She did not skimp on anything like the wasabi, it was very professional….. I have been to a lot of sushi places and this by far was the best, The quantity of the food and the quality of the food: ianf the price was so spot on. Any time I am down in the area, I know where I am going. I felt like every worker really cared about what they did and were happy.
You have to think about it. These people are here every day, for years doing the same exact thing.
So when I walked in into a place like this, and everyone is happy, and showing great service
Big time 10 for 10!!! It was some of the best sushi have eaten. The quality of the fish was excellent.

One thing if I could recommend, which I noticed it was two restaurants is the club like music. I think some classical music in the back ground would promote good conversation and a more family atmosphere.

We tried sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken, chicken fried rice, and hibachi chicken. Everything tasted good. Food quality was good. Service was good, location is good. Parking was reasonable. This restaurant is located near I45 north Grand Central Park. I will go back to dine at this place.

Great place to get sushi! We went for all you can eat and it was almost over so we had to order everything at once and got too much lol they do charge for leftovers per piece, but even with leaving with like 25 +/- pieces, the two of us still only cost around $45 with tip! Great atmosphere as well!

Today after work, I came here to have dinner. I like to have sushi and sashimi for dinner, so I went to Oishi Sushi. The food was alright, and the waitress was very nice. The restaurant did not have that many customers because its location is in a hidden area.

9 month update: The quality has definitely decreased since they first opened. I went back and now their sushi is stuffed chockfull of rice. Made a larger order since I remember when they first opened they only put a small amount of rice to let the fish shine, but now you can tell they put so much rice to make you full faster. I never understood why AYCE spots would do that. If you don’t want to lose profits then just increase your price since people don’t come to these places to eat rice… they come to eat fish.

We ended up eating the fish and leaving most of the rice and it was ridiculous how much rice was left. You could fill an entire rice cooker with the rice that was left and it was obvious how impossible it was to consume and I told them to just charge us the extra $10 fee bc it was beyond ridiculous.

Review when they 1st opened:
So happy we don’t have to drive far anymore to get high quality AYCE sushi and shabu shabu hot pot.

I was trying to ask where they source their fish because the cuts were so soft and buttery that I liked ones that I normally don’t like such as yellowtail, tuna, octopus, and mackerel, but I ordered it twice due to how good it was here specifically! Furthermore, they DO NOT put too much rice at all which lets the seafood shine the way it’s supposed to be made!

The appetizers and desserts were delicious. The restrooms were clean. The interior design of the restaurant is modern and stunning. Our server Ming was so attentive and even with limited English he was so kind and helpful. Very friendly and always smiling.

Our family will be coming here regularly and taking friends and family here for sushi and shabu shabu cravings!

I highly recommend this AYCE spot to all locals and visitors.

PS. Please leave a review to support our local businesses so they can stay for years to come!
