Antarctica has better Mexican food. The most expensive poor tasting Mexican food in Riverside-no taste and more soggy toppings than anything. Watered down salsa that taste like tomato juice and diced onions and pieces of cilantro. We ordered 4 plates $100. Total joke and waste of money. Whoever the lady is taking orders isn’t so kind and is quick to point to the menu suggesting higher prices items-NO.

I tried this place years ago and wasn’t impressed then but Tuxies was closed today so I figured I’d give them another shot on the way home. Meh, still not impressed. $35 for a two taco plate and nachos. Got carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas and all were passable but dry. The carne asada literally tasted like Del Taco asada. Might as well just save some money and drive through Miguel’s. ♀️

Once again I saw all the hype on social media about this place, about the artwork, about the food so once again I drove 45 minutes to go experience it for myself and I wasn’t impressed at all. Now I’m sure at one time all the art and all of the sculptures looked really good, but when I went the patios were closed, we only got to see the main walkway and a lot of the things are run down unfortunately due to weather and time and upkeep. I asked the lady what they’re known for and she told me carne asada which I ordered 4 tacos. The meat tastes like it was frozen and defrosted with a very greasy taste. A lot of oil and grease for flavor and nothing else. I wouldn’t recommend this spot to anybody and the food that I ordered was not authentic Mexican food. I was hoping salsa or chili would save it but that wasn’t that flavorful as well. Once again this is just my opinion feel free to come experience it yourself. But I am getting tired of taking social media influencers opinions and wasting my time and money to try food that is not worth it. Thinking about doing my own reviews on social media. Nobody pays me for my opinion and I don’t get my food comped so it bothers me when I waste my time and money

This is my second time at this place full-time my experience has been when I walk up. There’s always an employee at the register talking that’s first. I came and ordered a large multiple soup. The soup was hot and they gave me a lot of side items. But for a large soup, I don’t understand how you can only get two meatballs in the soup . I guess if you’re gonna share, it’s one for each and if you’re gonna eat the whole thing, it’s one for now one for later. The soup had a lot of vegetables in it, especially A lot of carrots and a lot of squash, but only had three small potatoes in it if that and like I said two meatballs. Do I think it’s one of the better Soups that I’ve had no not at all. But I go back No I feel like they’re more worried about talking to her associates at the register the two girls at the register talking and the chef’s just staring at you because you’re a pretty girl. .Felt very uncomfortable If you have any questions reach out to me I took a video of the soup so you can see it. Came here twice in one night after a friend recommended it to me. Once for me, once for my kids. Great food and friendly, courteous service. The combo burrito was good, as was the mild salsa. Prices were reasonable too. Will return in the future.

Food was quite good for a good price. The fish taco was very good. A little pricy at $4 each but it was actually quite filling. The Asada Special burrito is just a California burrito without guacamole. I added some and highly recommend. It was one of the better California burritos that I’ve had. Food was ready quickly and staff was friendly from what little interaction we had. I would recommend and will definitely be eating there again.

Worst Mexican food place I ever been to. It’s way over priced. Everything you have to add in extra. Like if you wanted rice since it only comes with beans. They charge for chips they aren’t included. You ask for a refund they will tell you no manager is in to help with that and when you ask who is managing, that person can’t help you. I been to other hole in the wall Mexican spots that are 10xs better than this place. Mostly white people here anyways but real authentic Mexican, nope they don’t care for us and helping. The steak they gave me was mediocre and I had to cut it up with a flimsy knife which bent every time I used it. Taquitos were plain, you had to put the topping yourself on it. I waited 20 extra minutes for them to get my order finally corrected and given to me and by then I lost my appetite. Worst food ever. Too expensive and not worth it. Go to Pepitos or go to Taco Shop.

This place is pretty good. I have had 5 different items and all are satisfying and tasty. Tuesday is best for tacos in which they have a deal, you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere needs more people eating in, many take it to go. Try in once and you will be back. Enjoy!
