We have not been eating at this restaurant for couple years….
I’m surprised that the lunch special is only $8.95. It’s inexpensive compared to many NYC restaurants nowadays.
The portion seems smaller, however, than before. But tasted really good. I am ok with such portion in this price.
The free tortilla chips with salsa was fresh and taste good too.
Service was good and didn’t have to wait too long. I definitely recommend this Mexican restaurant to my friends

I ordered a steak burrito and I had to really search amongst the rice and the beans in my burrito to find any pieces of steak they were very very very small and sparse in the burrito. They gave us such a small serving of salsa for the three of us that you couldn’t even fit a chip into the small “bowl”. We ordered a deep fried ice cream for dessert and there was maybe two bites of ice cream on the ball of ice cream it was ridiculous

The food was absolutely delicious. It came out quick and our server was very attentive. I had steak fajitas and the sauce they put with it so good. I tried the chicken burrito that was just as wonderful. The prices are very reasonable. Will be back !

Food was alright. Not seasoned at all, like nothing, especially the fajitas. Store bought tortillas.
The margarita was awful, no flavor, cheap tequila, tasted like Applebees dollaritas, def not worth $12. There was no strawberry flavor, the tequila overpowered everything.
Those aren’t sopapillias either, they just served tortilla chips from a bag with chocolate on top, def not worth $10.
Our waiter was really nice though. Liked him a lot.

We had dinner at Cinco de Mayo last night and the food was excellent! We ordered chicken fajita and chicken chimichanga and they were both seasoned well and super tasty. Will definitely be back when we want Mexican food!

This was my second time eating here and it was pretty much the same experience. Extremely slow service and not very attentive. The first time I went there was on Cinco de Mayo so I assumed service was slow due to it being crowded but the second time, there were only two other tables there so absolutely no excuse. The food & drinks were good but not worth the long wait. The best part about this place is the friendliness of the staff but that’s not enough for me to go back. Wouldn’t recommend and will not be returning.

My visit to Cinco de Mayo restaurant offered a solid dining experience. The tacos we ordered were quite flavorful, particularly the cecina and carne, which were aromatic and far from bland. As for the guacamole, it was satisfactory, though it didn’t particularly stand out. The highlight, however, was the watermelon Agua Fresca, which was refreshingly fresh and pleasingly low in sugar.

They scammed charging every chips for $5 each basket which used to be complementary, and 4% credit card surcharge on top of sales tax on food and tips was already added at 20% for party of 6 which was little fishy, also $5 additional for city tax on each 3 credit cards, so we asked them to void transactions so that we can run to the bank next door to get cash, owner said they can not do it, meaning they wouldn’t do it. Everything over priced and they even charged little Gau and sour cream small sauce container for to go for $5, they wouldn’t take it off from the bill, its ridiculously rip off! Servers are playing ball game next to us where no customers except our table in the back of room, wondering why there’s no customers on the weekend? And servers abandoned us, not even attentive at all, Food served slow for typical Mexican food, average taste, not worth of money, Never again

Actually, I’m not very good at Mexican food. But this meal was delicious and impressive. I recommend Solomillo. Grilled filet mignon presented with mixed vegetables and a side of cream mushroom. Good service.There is a full bar for those who like Mexican food and drink. I recommend you to come here.

Not a place for food unfortunately. Sour cream has no taste. The sauce had alcohol in it… the pork was over cooked, burnt, Like chewing cardboard. U can see the burnt in the pic. Beans r dry… idk what else can go wrong in this order. Will NOT return.
