Izakaya has been part of Japan and its citizens’ hearts since 1600s when Samurai still roamed around the city of Edo (former name of Tokyo). It is said that Izakaya started as a place where a local merchant offered some tasting glasses of sake to travelers, along with some small specialty dishes. Today, an izakaya is known as a typical Japanese pub that attracts all types of individuals and groups to spend quality time over a drink and some traditional small dishes after a work day. For the last 4 years, I’ve been fortunate to be able to serve as the bridge between the American and Japanese cultures, through my first restaurant, Yokohama. With Izakaya [Yokohama Ramen Izakaya ]

Pretty busy when we went. Was on a weekend so kind of expected. Waiter was very attentive, friendly, and very helpful. The side of noodles were pretty basic, not much flavor. You get some soy sauce though it helps. Shrimp fried rice and teriyaki chicken fried rice were really delicious though. Absolutely LOVE their eggs. Cooked perfect and has great flavor. Very filling and pricing was pretty good!

Absolutely amazing experience! After living in Japan for 3 years and moving back to Kansas, it has been hard to find authentic Japanese food and products. This place has TONS of it! The food was spectacular and the products were as well. Perfect service experience as well. This will unquestionably be a routine location I attend. Highly, highly, highly recommended for all!

This is such a cool spot. They have good food. They have tons of tasty appetizers. I highly recommend the Yokohama Black. It is a black garlic ramen. Their Taro boba is really tasty. The restaurant itself is neat. They have all kind of things you can buy. Games you can play to win prizes. Other drinks, snacks, and ice cream. They have Pokemon cards. They have different anime figures for sale. I took two different friend groups here for lunch two days in a row. Everyone loved it. They are very accommodating for diet restrictions.

Food was good as always, waiter was very attentive and met our needs. I did not appreciate the constant micromanaging towards our waiter since we arrived to when we left. As someone who has worked in the food industry and managed a staff I think it was inappropriate to “correct” mistakes in front of a customer or talk to a waiter about things that could get them “fired” in front of customers. I understand these positions can be frustrating and overwhelming but I think management should be more considerate towards their staff in front of customers.

This is always a solid pick and a regular spot for my family. Chasu Bowl is my favorite, killer pork!!! The ramen is extremely good, broth is excellent, chicken is good but the Pork is outstanding. Cool place.

Servers are rude!
First, me and my wife were sat on a two seater table but that table was too shaky so we move to the next table. Then there comes other customers in a 3 person group. The waitress asks us to move back to the two seater table and I said, that table is shaking. Mind you that there are plenty of 4 seater table when we were there and it’s not too busy.
So we just move cause we just want to have good food together. Here comes our order, the moment we taste our first bite of our ramen, the waitress approach us and asks if we want a to go box so we can bring our food home? Like for real??? It feels like we just had our first bite and you are asking us to leave the premises? Then she comes to the other next table beside us to clean it and she just wipe the table and let the food crumbs just fall under that table and some crumbs are flying at my back.
And yes we still give tips but they should be doing better next time. If there is next time.

It was a good place to eat but my last visit end up pretty ridiculous. I ordered the beef tongue raman as I usually do but this time it came under cooked. The beef tounge was super chewy and still pink. When I asked about it they just said “we changed our recipe”. Will never go.

Uses to be hands down the best place to get tonkatsu. I don’t know if they changed distributors or what. The last 4-5 times I ordered this dish it came out like shriveled jerky. Shrunken, shriveled jerky. OR. They just hate their door dash customers. It’s giving “give this crap to the door dash customers because they can’t say anything.” They absolutely know this quality would not fly with dine in customers.
Look at those pictures and tell me jerky isn’t an exaggeration.

The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home.

I used to love this restaurant and always wanted to recommend it to everyone. But the last time I came here, I was completely disappointed. Everyone here serves very dedicatedly. But there is a woman who serves extremely badly and is irresponsible. Her service attitude was terrible and she made me no longer interested in the food.
