Highly recommended!
The tasting menu he curated for us was nothing short of amazing—we didn’t want it to end! One of the standout dishes was the seared sea bass; it was cooked to perfection, buttery, and full of flavor. The sushi? Huge and absolutely delicious!
On top of the fantastic food, the staff was incredible—funny, welcoming, and super attentive. They made sure we were well taken care of throughout the night.
If you’re looking for a unique fusion of flavors, generous portions, and a team that makes you feel right at home, Higo Sushi is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back for more!
It is seasonal but I recommend their Spanish Mackerel and sweet shrimp.
They will serve as sushi , but will not waste the body parts! They offer to lightly deep fry and enjoy everything.
Their Seabream sushi and lomo Saltado is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!
My favorite place since leaving orange county!
The hostess was extremely accommodating and set up two standing heaters next to our table since it was pretty chilly out. Shortly after we were greeted by the most friendly waitress that took our drink order. When she returned she immediately took our food order.
Service and food quality was nothing short of exceptional. The plating on all our orders looked great as well. You can tell the chef took time when it came to the presentation of the food.
All in all we were very pleased with our experience at Higo. We will definitely be coming back in the very near future!
AMBIANCE: Noise level was loud. More of a family restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating (with heat lamps).
DRESS CODE: Casual
MENU OPTIONS:
– variety of appetizers, sushi, sashimi, rolls, cooked food (both Japanese and Peruvian), beer, sake, wine, juices
– Kids menu/options available
– wasn’t a fan of the options of rolls offered. most of the rolls had tempura or avocado, or cream cheese (seems too Americanized rather than Japanese or Peruvian)… I wish there were more options that included fish.
