Marco Polo Restaurant is located just beyond the lobby and bar of the Great Neck Inn hotel. A new addition to the restaurant – now features Sushi by Chef Benny. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety offered on both menus. The restaurant is East Meets West themed so feel free to order off both the Sushi menu and the Marco Polo menu.

The Sushi menu consisted of classic rolls, a small appetizer section, and a list of signature rolls. Sashimi and Sushi options offered a la carte if you don’t want to try the full entree. Note: sushi was very fresh and prices are very reasonable. The sesame tuna tataki was a nice full salad paired with sesame seared tuna, avocado, mandarins and crispy noodles. A sweet dressing provided on the side. Very refreshing. The garlic edamame was tossed in some chili oil and stir fried garlic. I recommend the sashimi entree which came with 15 pieces of sashimi. A la carte, I tried the uni, scallop sashimi and a classic yellowtail roll. Sadly no sake on the menu yet but there’s a wine list, lots of cocktails, beers and drafts. Cross ordering from both menus is totally welcomed.

Service was good and our waiter was super friendly. Dessert options were interesting, think s’mores egg rolls, fresh fruit, cheesecake, a plate of cookies and cinnamon buns.

Great food and atmosphere. Either the regular menu or Benny’s sushi made in the bar in front of you… both are tasty and full of creativity. Just missing some music, but maybe for the next time!
Highly recommended!

You guys outdid yourselves! We’re from out of town, and it was great to have this unplanned yet perfect evening. We loved the drink specials and the drinks. My favorite meal was the surf and turf. Thanks, Valerie and Chris; we had a great night.

A hidden gem; I work in the area and enjoy an afternoon drink .
Quite often, getting a decent martini is a hard request anywhere you go . I appreciate the attention to detail . Stirred not shaken & big olives .

See you soon guys! Thank you Claudia !
You make the perfect martini

Ben is amazing! Try and sit at the Bar with him tell him what you like and you wont be disappointed! He will take such good care of you! Ill be honest I don’t usually like fish specially if its too fishy but everything i had here was fresh and delish. I even tried raw and loved it! I think I’m now a sushi lover and will only come back here to Ben for it! The Bartender Valerie was also a pleasure She made me a lychee Martini It was delicious and strong! Highly recommend this place!

Service is horrible, spend your money elsewhere. I was here on Tuesday evening picking up an order, the African American waitress is extremely rude. Not sure if I am being discriminated but very unpleasant experience.

Had a lovely dinner at Marco Polo restaurant at Inn of Great Neck, and Valerie, Who was taking care of the restaurant and bar, was so lovely!! Valerie welcomed me, & made me feel at home, Which I appreciated very much, as I was alone. The food was plentiful and delicious, and served perfectly

Valerie took the time to explain the dishes to me, made very good suggestions, & made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed!

Everyone at the restaurant & actually in the entire hotel I’ve come into contact with was lovely & helpful, and I truly appreciate it! It’s a beautiful hotel too, Art Deco and beautifully kept. I hope I’ll be able to come up to New York again soon and will definitely stay there at the Inn of great neck, and again, thank you to Valerie & the entire crew there!!

Came here for dinner after checking in. We saw that there were supposed to be conference rooms in the hotel and we walked by the restaurant. There weren’t any obvious signs and the place was empty, so I asked the bartender if this is the restaurant. Then I asked how do I order. Then, in the sassiest tone ever the Irish bartender says “Yes so you sit inside and then wait toget your order taken and then food comes to youjust like any other restaurant buddy.” Woah. He must’ve had a tree branch stuck up there. Sorry I don’t usually walk into empty restaurants with no staff/customers and seat myself. Usually there’s someone who’s there to seat you 🙂

Not only did he ruin the evening, the food ruined it too. I ordered steak with broccoli and got something that looks like it came from the frozen section of Walmart. See this photo. LITERALLY NOT STEAK. He even asked me how I’d like the steak done, I said medium rare. Look at this photo. In no world is this medium rare or a steak. The funny thing is, we were the only two people in the restaurant but waited near 30 mins for this travesty. Don’t bother coming here
