Lake Norman Tavern isnt exactly hidden because of its blue exterior, but it is a real gem! The menu is extensive with so much good stuff, I asked if we’d be coming back (YES) so I could plan ahead. The top shelf margaritas were big and delish! The food is wonderful and Taylor’s service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Her outgoing personality really suits her. My friend got the Cod Fish and Chips and I got the Fried Clam Po Boy with fries. The fries were crunchy and the clams were tender. Everything was delicious! We got salads to go for our dinner later and they were good too! I got the grilled shrimp spinach salad with candied pecans, red onions, roasted red peppers, bacon and hot bacon dressing! Julie got the California Cobb with grilled chicken, balsamic and lots of other good stuff.

Ashley provided excellent service. There were 5 in our party and almost all plates were completely eaten. 3 of us ordered 3 different tacos. 1 person did not like their tacos but others finished them. Flour tortillas should be warmed. I noticed all of them came out cold.
The temperature was actually too cold inside. We had to go outside to thauh out.
Atmosphere was okay for an old tavern but I was expecting something different.
Everyone was polite and helpful. Dinner and beverages were good.

How do I describe this place? Average? The food was average pub fare, the atmosphere was average, and at least during our visit the service was very engaged, albeit not particularly versed at serving food at the proper time. My theory is that the majority of accolades being earned here are from people who live near and beyond it on B school road as a drinking and hangout location since there are practically no other options beyond it.

Can’t believe we have never been here until now. It the place I have been looking for. Nice little place you feel comfortable in and they had live music. The singer sounded awesome and had the volume perfect that you could enjoy your dinner and have a conversation with the music playing. Got the Seafood platter and it didn’t disappoint. Perfect size and the see salad that came with it was really good with the raspberry vinaigrette. Love they have raspberry vinaigrette which is my favorite and not offered in many places. Will definitely be back to try more

This pub is solid! It’s got all the usual pub grub—burgers, wings, nachos—and it’s all just really good. Nothing fancy, but totally hits the spot. Plus, they’ve got a pretty solid beer lineup with some local stuff mixed in, so you’ll always find something good to drink.
The vibe is super chill, and the bartender is awesome—just one of those friendly, down-to-earth ladies who makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time there. If you’re ever looking to grab a beer and some comfort food, this is definitely the spot.

I’ve been hearing about this place for some time and finally made the opportunity to try it. Very local bar kind of atmosphere. Live music the evening I was there, playing music everyone knows. Decent beer selection, with more than couple local brews. Good drink selection and a good menu selection. I definitely recommend and definitely plan to go back.

My experience here was not very good at all.
I can tell you that I was very shocked.
Myself, and several of my employees were looking for a nice place that has good food with decent lunch specials when we were working on a project in Mooresville, North Carolina.
I asked her customers if they knew of any local restaurants that had good food with a decent lunch special so that I could pick up some lunch for myself and several of my employees.
I wanted to grab something relatively quick and close, and my client mentioned to me this particular restaurant that was literally right around the corner.
We will try any place at least once, but this was not a good experience at all other than very nice waitress who took my order.
She was awesome which is the only reason this place is getting it to review.
When I pulled in, I noticed an abnormal amount, just trash and debris in the parking lot.
I really did not pay too much attention. It was just my first observation.
I went inside to put my order in.
How was a few minutes late for the cut off on lunch specials and was not aware of what time they ended.
Amazing immediately said don’t worry about it. We’ll get it in. I’m happy to try this out. Which is the only reason. This place is getting a two star review but she was great.
I believe that the lunch specials were around $10 each, which is not ridiculous by any stretch of the imagination.
When I heard that the lunch special was meatloaf, I got really excited, I love meatloaf!
I ordered several meatloaf specials to go.
The order came out relatively quick, and I paid for them and left.
On the way back to my truck I could not help but to notice again, all of the trash in the parking lot and on the edges of the parking lot.
This to me is a big deal!
I’m not unreasonable and it takes a lot for things to make me uncomfortable.
What I could not believe, was saying a used condom in the parking lot right next to where I parked as I was getting ready to leave.
I understand things being random so much other trash around, I could not help but to wonder if I made a good choice by choosing this place to get food from.
Everything inside of me just kept telling myself. Don’t think about it too much.
I couldn’t get over all of the other trash that clearly has been there for a while and giving no attention to.
This is a place that serves food, things happen.
It was disgusting !
I kept telling myself in the short ride back to the project ” hopefully the food is good”
When I got back to the project, I took everything out of the bags and made sure everything was ready to go for amazing people that work for me and I wish that everybody considering going here could’ve seen the unanimous look on all these peoples faces.
And we are not that, nor did I tell them about the trash on the ground, or at the very least the condom that was left on the ground, whether it was used or not, I didn’t look too much into it.
Just saying that makes my skin crawl!
The meatloaf was cold, hard and just wasn’t good.
Everyone of us was very disappointed and two of the people that work extremely hard for me, took their first bite and closed it up and thanked me for getting lunch but asked me please never go to this place again.
It sucked in this place other than that very nice and friendly woman is a place that I will never go to again, but if anybody asked me about it, I will tell them don’t even consider it for multiple reasons

Great pub and restaurant away from the busy downtown and congested restaurant areas. Fast, friendly service with lots of craft beers from which to choose. The “backyard” is dog friendly, has plenty of seating, and comes with sand volleyball court, tv’s, corn hole, and table service (sometimes). Special note…DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE DUDE NEXT DOOR! He’ll tow your vehicle quick!

The food was delicious! I ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese and my husband got the hot wings. Both were amazing! The Lobster Mac and cheese has a huge portion of Lobster. I easily had two meals from it. We will be back soon.
