Found my pho spot!!! Really cozy and nicely decorated place. The architecture was very nostalgic and homey. Reminds me of residential+commercial small businesses in Vietnam, where people live and do their business at their home. The menu is humble but highlights the best known Vietnamese dishes. We tried Phở, Bún Bò Huế and Cơm Tấm. At first, we reluctantly ordered because it was a bit pricey. Then, when the food came out, we were shocked to how GIGANTIC the portions were. I came in with baggy pants, after I finished the food, my pants were tight. Name me any pho place with XXL size, full toppings with 2 big*ss, juicy, meaty ribs that below $30? Everything is just right. Ribs were at the perfect level of tenderness, juicy, not too soft that it fell off, not too hard that I can bite through. Tendon was the definition of what tendon should be, at the right texture, although I’m not a tendon person (mostly skip tendon). Most pho places they overcook tendons to the point 5 seconds in the hot soup, they dissolve and never be seen by men. 15 minutes in, my tendons were still there visibly and edible. The diva was the vinaigrette red onion. I hate onion and vinegar, but damn, it was so spot on that I had to get extra (the owners were generous with me). The sate (chili oil) was homemade and so much different, went super well with bún bò Huế. My husband is a picky eater when it comes to his favorite dish, cơm tấm. He finished it and left no crumbs. Although, it would be better if they have the pork lard scallion oil. Service was 10/10. The owner had great sense of humor, genuine and generous. We worked in restaurant industry, we barely praised on generic interactions. Bún Bò Huế was good, I wish the noodle a little bit firmer, that’s just my preference. Gosh this place deserves to be known more. Will I ever comeback? 1000% yes.

Definitely agree with the other reviewers that Ganh Pho is definitely one of the best Vietnamese pho restaurants around (top 3 in the MA). Mr. Hung (anh Hung) is extremely accommodating and top notch at what he do!
For parking, there’s street parking and also behind the restaurant. Just try saving some those some time looking for a spot 🙂

Very flavorful broth for both pho and Hue style noodle soup. Portions are large. They bring you complimentary hot tea (a lost art) and their Vietnamese coffee is also excellent. The service was friendly. There’s one thing that I don’t like about this place and it’s the fact that it’s in Braintree and not closer to where I live. What’s with so many good restaurants in the Boston area being located in the suburbs?

I’ve been here twice, and the food each time is delicious, hearty, and filling. They’re very generous with the portions. The owner is very friendly and kind. I can tell he knows his customers very well. My mom loves this place and appreciates the wonderful customer service, which is rare because she’s normally picky about Vietnamese restaurants. I recommend the pho and the com tam.
