We stumbled upon Bear Creek Coffee and Creamery while visiting the gift shop next door, and I’m so glad we did. I initially walked in just looking for a cup of coffee—but quickly realized it was also an ice cream shop, and a really cute one at that!

The inside is super clean and cheerful, with a fun red, yellow, and burgundy tiled floor, bright red pendant lights, and a retro soda fountain vibe. There’s a long counter full of Hershey’s ice cream options, plus a full coffee bar with lots of syrups and a smoothie menu. Several tables inside make it a great place to take a break and enjoy your treat.

Service was excellent. There was one young woman working behind the counter on the afternoon of Sunday, July 13th, and she was absolutely fantastic. Despite a growing line, she stayed calm, efficient, and friendly. I wish I’d gotten her name—whoever manages this place should know what a gem they have in her.

I ordered the cherry vanilla milkshake, and it was incredible—rich and creamy, with real cherry pieces and just the right balance of flavor. We also got a vanilla cone, and even the small size was generous. We wanted to try the mint chocolate chip, but they were out. The employee even offered to make something similar using other ingredients, which was thoughtful, though we ended up going with another flavor.

This spot feels like a hidden gem—whether you’re in the mood for coffee, ice cream, or just a cool place to relax, it’s worth the stop. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area… and I’ll be trying the coffee then too!

We visited on a family vacation last month and had a wonderful experience! Despite being a large group of customers, the 2 young workers behind the counter took our orders politely and served us delicious ice cream quickly. We enjoyed the bright, classic ice cream shop atmosphere. Best of all, they had a few great options for my daughter with a dairy allergy. (We moved our large party to this shop after one a few minutes down the road had nothing on the menu that she could eat.) Thanks for making us happy tourists, Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery!

The coffee was decent, but there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Also, they don’t offer a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel—only on French toast or pancakes—even though bagels are sold separately, which didn’t really make sense.

This place is a small creamery located in the corner of a shopping plaza with ample parking and seating (including some outdoor tables).

They mainly serve coffee and different flavors of ice cream, but they also offer other drinks & some small deserts. They even serve bubble tea !

I got an affogato (vanilla ice cream doused with a shot of espresso), and it was good. Nothing too special about it but the service was quick and nice.

Hidden Gem on a Chilly Day – Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery Hits the Spot!

It was an unusually cold June day — even by Garrett County standards — but that didn’t stop us from checking out Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery, and I’m glad we did. The place was nearly empty, likely due to the weather, but that just meant we had this cozy little gem all to ourselves.

Despite the chill in the air, I couldn’t resist a scoop of their Hershey’s Roadrunner Raspberry ice cream — and it was absolutely worth it. Rich, creamy, and bursting with that sweet-tart raspberry flavor, it was the perfect treat no matter the temperature.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and you can tell this place is built on small-town charm and quality. Whether it’s hot or cold, Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery is always a sweet stop worth making.

The price for ice cream was decent. The ice cream itself, though was another story. It was half melted already and had big ice chunks. Not a pleasant experience.

Two visits during our weekend stay at Deep Creek. Both delicious, both five stars. Second time was busier but still great service. Iced lattes were the best … just started their Fall drinks. So yummy! Custom made – very attentive workers! Clean store with something for everyone – ice cream – hard and soft serve, coffee drinks, fudge, other drinks (shakes, smoothies, floats, etc). A little gem!!! Will add to our must stop at list when in the area.

Where to begin…We drove from other side of town to be told they were closed, despite the door being open for patrons to enter freely. Upon opening the door we were rudely greeted this evening, ‘I’m closed, guys.’ We kindly stated, ‘It shows on the door you are closed at 9pm.’ The response was ‘I know’. Keep in mind the only reason we traveled here is because it still showed online they were open until 10pm, which didn’t match their door sign, stating 9pm closing time.

I have to say, ice cream was good in past experience. Proor to todays date, we have been to this location well over 10 times. Due to our experience this evening and poor business practice we won’t return. I hope this review from a fellow customer-centered business owner helps your employees and owner(s) learn from this unfortunate mishap.
