Food is good but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I live in an area without Caribbean food so I always stop to buy a good amount of food to carry back home on road trips but not anymore.
Service is slow. Staff is not knowledgeable. They insist on hiring ppl who don’t know anything about trini food so you can’t ask questions. Also it doesn’t matter how much you spend, they going to be stingy with the sauce. Bought 4 doubles and a buss up meal and they provided 1 small sauce. Refused to provide more even after I asked then offered to pay cause it didn’t come with tamarind. I’d rather drive to Orlando or Fort Lauderdale than come back.

I was referred by a good friend of mine to this restaurant. I placed order for myself and my wife and paid upfront for our meals. Waited for 20 minutes and they served my wife order first and I waited for mine. The waiter later served me my order which was not what I ordered. I told him that was not what I ordered. He left and said he would be back to answer my concern. He didn’t. A lady came after and picked up my meal and rudely told me that she would refund me for my order. I was disappointed and disrespected by two other employees who argued with me instead of working out the issues. My allergies prevent me from eating certain foods. They didn’t care. POOR BUSINESS ETHICS. By the way it’s illegal to take or even touch someone’s food that was paid for in advance without permission. THIS IS THE WORSE EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD IN A RESTAURANT.

Update: Visited again, had no issues and just as delicious! I was wrong about the paratha as well, I did get the correct thing. Definitely one of my new favorite places to eat.
First visit yesterday, I was a little confused as I’ve never been and I don’t know Trini food like that, the girl at the register was pretty young so I didn’t expect it but would’ve liked more explanation on what we were ordering. I ordered the bone stew chicken with a side of channa (chickpeas) and a double, they were out of the aloopi. Now instead of the channa, they gave me the curry aloo (potatoes?) and almost forgot my double, I had to ask and wait some more.I asked for paratha and got roti (I think based on the information I was given regarding the 2, but I could be wrong!) and the wait was long. Now that all sounds not the best huh? The food was worth it!!! I enjoyed the food so much that I would go through that again, they were nice so it could’ve been just an off time and everyone is entitled to that. The doubles was delicious, next time I’ll add some meat to it. The roti was amazing with the roti and the curry potatoes and we just enjoyed everything. Well seasoned, well cooked, everything was a 10/10. Even my parents who I ordered some for, ate it and didn’t complain! After eating it, I had no complaints aside from the serving size because I wanted more. Great meal!

Absolutely disappointed with my experience at Curry Tubanca. The food came out undercooked, which is not only unacceptable but also a serious health concern. For a place that claims to serve authentic cuisine, this was a complete letdown. It felt rushed and careless. I won’t be returning, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a safe or satisfying meal.

I visited this place for the first time as I live a couple blocks away and maannn let me tell you what i experienced:
Entering the restaurant the aroma of a some kind of mint or herb wafted through the air. The food i order was doubles, it’s basically chickpeas with some herbs and spices wrapped in a warm & chewy dough. The goat doubles was absolutely phenomenal and they can make it spicy upon request!
The price is unbeatable and the quality of food is astounding.
10/10! Highly recommended!

Simple but clean. Not warm/inviting. It is a quick dine in / take out type. I hope to update increase my rating next time. I had Dahl white rice and curry shrimp. My rice was swimming and shrimp swimming in the single serving co tai e. Maybe if they had separated areas? But I’ll try one time more.

Undoubtedly the best doubles I’ve had in Florida. Soft bara, tasty channa, and the right flavors from the sauces.
I get my doubles, aloo pie, bake & shark, and roti whenever I visit family in south Florida. Scarlet and the rest of the team is always friendly and efficient.
Con – very limited seating, only 4 tables for 4.
Gripe – unreasonable 4% surcharge for credit cards. This is unacceptable especially with payments processors charging way less than that. Plus the global trend is going cashless. Small businesses can do better than adding this unreasonable charge which just serves to minimize the experience.

Was made to feel if I was from Trinidad, I might of gotten friendly service. The food was okay, except the roti which looks like it was uncooked, when I tried to unfold it, it was all stuck together and was falling apart. After paying she walked away without offering a receipt. Overall disappointing

This is the second time I have tried this restaurant the first time I went. I only tried the doubles because I was in a rush. I didn’t have time to order anything else. This time we ordered the curry, chicken, bake and shark, and six doubles I have been wanting to try bake and shark for months I’m pregnant and had to fufill my cravings it was even better than what I thought it was going to be. I’m not a big seafood fan but I couldn’t pass this up and it was absolutely a 10 out of 10 no way around it. Everybody was very friendly and they got the job done all these negative comments but all I see is a family working hard and doing their job good thank you for such a great experience my son, my boyfriend, and I enjoyed it !!!
