This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in Dayton. My husband and I have been eating here for many years and it’s excellent every time. The vegetable pakora, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, lamb saag, baingan bharta, and Sri Lankan chicken are all top notch. The portions are all generous and the owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for truly great Indian food!

This place is really close to us, yet we haven’t been there in over 3 years! Finally, we went there this weekend, a small cute place which is specifically for take out but they have enough space for dine-in as well. Like the fact that its mostly self service kinda place, you do get your order served by the staff.
We ordered chhole bhature and egg curry with naan! Both of these did not disappoint. The bhatura were one of the best I had eaten in the US till now. Fluffy yet soft, not too chewy (though they are extremely heavy). Chhole were good I would say, the chickpeas were still a bit hard and the sauce was overly tangy! But the combo tasted fine.
Egg curry was more like a egg version of navratran korma, it was too creamy and sweet. Overall taste was fine but wasn’t as egg curry is expected to be, little red and balanced spices, non sweet.
Despite all these, the overall taste was great. The portions were large so that’s one good thing. Staff is friendly and polite too. Loved the place, would go again to try other dishes. By far, the best Indian restaurant in Dayton area!!

I’ve tried many Indian restaurants in the Dayton area and India Chaat Cafe is my favorite! I repeatedly order chicken tikka masala because the preparation is perfect. Overall, the food and service are excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere because the restaurant is geared towards pick-up rather than dine-in. I won’t order Indian food anywhere else!

It’s wonderful. Weve been long time loyal customers of Amar India just down the road but this place impressed us even more. We got the dahi puri, the chicken tikka masala and the chicken tikka wrap. It was all incredible! And the man at the counter was very friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

The Cafe & Curry Out has a large menu chock full of something for everyone; vegetarians, meat lovers and spice addicts alike. Regardless of what you enjoy, I recommend you order some bread to accompany your dish.
I’ve been a customer of this fine establishment for over a decade and have referred many to darken the door here, all of whom are now regular customers – there’s no reason to go anywhere else unless you’re looking for a fine dining experience. If you’re in the mood for fantastic cuisine at a fair price, especially on the go, give Indian Chaat Cafe & Curry Out a try, you won’t be disappointed.

India Chaat is our very favorite Indian food in the Miami Valley area and we will drive the 25 minute one way trip for take out. But sometimes we like to be served in a nice sit-down restaurant. Although your eat-in area is clean and acceptable, it has the atmosphere of a fast food place, noisy with no privacy. We hope you’ll have a larger place someday.

The man that helped me was ridiculously sweet. I mentioned that I don’t personally like Indian food this was an order for my S/O and he included something he wanted me to try for free with my order, they were fast and my partner said it is the best Indian he’s had around here in a long time.
