Delicious flavorful Indian food! I have been hearing about how phenomenal Jaipore is and I finally had a chance to eat their food and I can tell you that this will be a new regular for me, I was blown away by how delicious it was. And we did take out for a family party, and when I went to pick it up I was pleasantly surprised by the great atmosphere, I look forward to eating there, it’s very clean and comfortable and festive.
We got several dishes and shared them. The size of each meal is very good, lots of lamb and the lamb was tender. I think I liked the Lamb Masala the best, my father liked the Lamb Rogan Josh which was also delicious, and my mother liked the Lamb Korma. The Saag Panera was delicious and even my nephew enjoyed it. I feel like I have a lot of experience with Indian food and I will say that this might be the best Indian food I’ve had.

An Absolute New England gem.
A tribute to Indian cuisine with a hat-tip to the selective use of ‘spices’ like ‘queen of spices’- cardamom. Mixed with nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon all work well. Chef John and his team work with clientele to delight them with a culinary experience.
Our ‘dum biriyani’ – Nawabi style was one of the best. Reminded me of the Moghal school of blending spices, gulkhand- rose and saffron.
The ‘chaat’ reminded me the chaats I enjoyed of Nariman Point, chowpathy the blend of their home made tamarind sauce with seasoned yogurts.
Wonderful experience!!! Definitely will visit to enjoy their cuisine in a ambience reminiscent of ‘British Raj.’

Jaipore Xpress is a solid choice for Indian cuisine in the Ridgefield area: good food, hearty portions, and a comfortable atmosphere. If you are looking for bold, very traditional South Asian heat and spice, you may find it slightly moderated. Either way, it’s worth a visit.

This is easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to, and I’ve tried quite a few. Everything was excellent. We ordered the chicken tikka masala (w/rice) masala dosa, lamb madras (w/rice), garlic naan, and masala chai. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared.
The service was just as good. The person helping us was genuinely kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. They even brought out rice pudding on the house, which was a great touch.
Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back.

Where do you go to find the best Indian food? Certainly not Long Island. Not New York City. Not even London. We’ve been to all and the best is right here in Ridgefield, CT. For the juiciest, most tender chicken – not just chicken tikka – that’s any chicken EVER, then come to Jaipore Xpress. We found this restaurant by mere chance on July 4th last year because every other restaurant in Connecticut was closed. Well, what a surprise we were in for! Now we regularly drive 150 miles round trip to Ridgefield, Connecticut from Long Island just to get the best Indian food we’ve ever had. And it’s not limited to just the chicken – it’s the chaat, masala, seafood, shrimp, and biryani, too. All the most high-quality and flavorful you’ve ever had. Jaipore Xpress is a true gem and rare find – I feel like I should keep this restaurant a secret to myself instead of writing this review! Oh, and did I mention the portions are huge? You’ll have leftovers enough for another meal or two.

Really just the best Indian food around. I Teach in Ridgefield and this is a spot I stop often. Great atmosphere but the food is just as good to go! The Vindaloo is and the Biryani is incredible. Enjoy!

My wife, her sister, her husband and I came here for lunch today. We had vegetarian lunch special, gobi manchurian, fried rice and dosa. Very tasty food. John was our host, he was a gentleman, and he took very good care of us.
Folks, whenever you’re in the Ridgefield, CT area, please give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

The restaurant is cozy and uniquely decorated! Loved the interior! It was quite a long drive for us, still went there seeing great reviews with a 4.9 rating. However, the food taste was no where near what we expected! The reviews could be due to the customers being largely American! It would taste bland and flavorless for anyone from the South Asian countries! I still gave it a 3 star as the demographic it serves in the area is mostly non South Asian and probably that’s why they adjusted the flavors accordingly! The Manager Joseph was very friendly! If we visit again, we ll visit for the interior and the friendly service, not for the food!

What a great restaurant! We loved everything we ordered: dosa masala, lentil soup, garlic naan, and navratan korma. Our host was very friendly, and even gifted us yummy rice pudding on the house! Eating at Jaipore took us back to our days traveling in India.
