This place is amazing, so many goodies! Breakfast was great! The people are friendly and amazing! This whole area is a hidden treasure of shops, nice people and small town crafts! Highly recommend! SOS on toast with eggs was THE BEST!

5 / 5 stars all around!!
The lady that took our order was very nice, the food was delicious, the store was absolutely adorable. Could not have asked for a better experience!
Since it is a bread bakery, they have gluten free buns and bread too, mine tasted great.
They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but only a few tables outside that seemed to fill up quickly.
Will be back soon 🙂

Best option for breakfast in Nashville! Reasonable prices and great food! They also have gluten free offerings for all their bread products. My wife is gluten free, but I tried her bread and it was delicious!

Cute little store with amazing goodies of all kinds ! Tons of home made goodies . Everything is fresh ! Met the owner and she was super nice and told me a little back story of the store ! It’s hidden in the back off the main Rd but it’s well worth the walk to get to and it’s adorable inside and out ! Everyone was super friendly and bubbly and it reminds me of the country stores back home in New England ! Deff will be back and highly recommend you stop here !

Food is always good staff is always friendly! The only reason I don’t give five stars is Unfortunately they can be closed for no reason. They update their Google listing and there are many times that Google says they are open for business but they will be closed I can understand when the bad weather and things but I found this to be true on days where there’s no real reason weather wise. The main concern I see is someone like myself that travels 30 or 45 minutes to find that it’s closed when it is advertised to be open may not return due to frustration. I will return, just want to see the place do well, and stay for Long time!!

We had breakfast at The Bakery & General Store. The food was super hot and delicious❤️
The staff were so accommodating. The New owners were working the checkout and refilling drinks. It’s family owned and run. It’s decorated with the cutest antique items all over!! We just LOVED it!

Have great home made food. Took some of their food to Thanksgiving gathering. It was so delicious. The bread pudding was best I’ve ever. I heard their breakfast is great too. If you are going to Nashville, Indiana do yourself a favor and stop by the Nashville General Store and grab a bite to eat.

Love this place!
A Brown County Welcome to the new owners! We thank you for your hard work and bringing us back our one of a kind and our little slice of country store and restaurant. Love the cobblers you make and the popping corn you sell.

EXACTLY the type of breakfast I want when on the road. Me, my wife, and our dog stopped by this place at 9 AM—right when they opened—for a bite to eat before embarking on a hike (we sat outside at one of the tables). I got the bacon, egg, and cheese on a biscuit. Everything about this sandwich was perfect; the bacon was crispy and thick with a hint of smokiness to it, the biscuit was soft and buttery, the cheese was properly melted, and the fried egg was the right amount of fluffiness. I really appreciate unpretentious breakfast that doesn’t try to combine 17 flavors when these four are all you need. Its simplicity and focus on the quality of each component make for an excellent sandwich. We also got an order of delicious cinnamon donuts balls that came with an apple butter spread. Absolutely get those if you have a couple people in your party and like sweet pastries.

After breakfast, I went inside and poked around the shop for a few minutes to check it out. If you’re into Americana and themed antiques, you’ll probably find something to love in the store. If nothing else, a quick spin around the shop makes for a hearty feast for the eyes.
