This was our first time ever coming to this cute little (almost) waterfront restaurant. Let me say, we will definitely return. We parked in the back lot, and they also have street parking. Plenty of options. We ordered the captains platter, the cod Baja tacos, and a cup of their clam chowder. We choose to sit outside and it was beautiful out, the seating is shaded, but you feel the warmth and the breeze. It was great! We started with the chowder, had a great flavor, big chunks of clam, amazing. The tacos were next. I barely let my partner try it, I could have eaten like 12 of those Baja tacos. The captains platter had clam strips, fried oyster, fried prawns and a piece of fish (maybe halibut or cod? Not sure) all of the food in the platter was great. It wasn’t overly breaded, it was glistening and perfectly seasoned. We did end up going back and ordering the 3 Hawaiian cod tacos. This one was good, but needed a little more in the salsa, would still eat again though. All in all it was roughly $50 bucks, and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone.
One of the things I love most about Kettlefish is their commitment to quality. The food never tastes like it’s been cooked in old oil, which can be a problem at other places. Every bite tastes fresh and flavorful, making it clear that they take pride in what they serve.
While I miss their Brazilian soup special, the fish and chips and clam chowder more than make up for it. The clam chowder is creamy and packed with flavor, easily the best I’ve had in the county.
For those who enjoy a good steak, don’t miss out on $10 steak night at 19th Hole on Mondays and Sundays, another great spot in Kitsap County. But for seafood lovers, Kettlefish is the place to be. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff are friendly, and the food is consistently excellent.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by Kettlefish. It’s a dining experience you won’t forget and one you’ll keep coming back for!
From the name was not sure what they served.
Their primary specialty is fish & chips, which we tried. $17.00
I also tried the chowder in a bread bowl. $15.00
The fish and chips are made to order, so hot out of the grease.
Two fair sized , flavoried fish. The chips were also fresh and tasty.
A couple of weeks ago we tried the same meal at Skippers, $19.00, it was without flavor. So this was a better meal.
The chowder was tasty, wish their was more for this price.
The bread bowl was tough to chew and without much flavor.
A decent meal but still suffering sticker price shock, $35 for two
MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT
Got 5 different menu items and every one of them was bland as can be.
Bouillabaisse was absolutely terrible DO NOT ORDER
Clam chowder tasted like it was out of a can
Fish and chips were overcooked
$80 for 2 people and 2 kids. INSANITY
Worst restraunt in Silverdale award
I ordered cod and chips, Mac & Cheese, and clam chowder. The chowder stood out, and their seafood stews really look quite good, even though I am not really a seafood guy.
The garlic infused malt vinegar was a nice touch, and the tartar sauce was unique and flavorful.
If you are in the area, give Kettlefish a shot!
