Stingers is a great local bar. To say they have a friendly, courteous staff would be an understatement. Bar tenders, doormen, cooks everyone is friendly and outgoing. Two or three visits and you feel like a regular. Its like visiting Cheers. Traditional bar food sliders, salads, fries etc. Standard drinks at reasonable prices. Limited top shelf options. Two pool tables, several tvs with various sports.
Being so close to Sac State, and the name playing off the Sac State Hornets, I always assumed more of a college crowd. It is actually a great mixed crowd of friendly people having a good time.

My daughter’s family love Stinger’s and have finally gotten to try it out twice. I don’t drink so I can only vouch for the iced tea which was good. Located at the end of a small shared building, there is a parking lot and street parking available.
The food has been excellent! Good portions but each time has been fresh and filling. There again mid-week a few days ago, he chef salad was so filling that I could only eat two of the five huge potato skins. SO GOOD!
The wrap around bar is in the middle of the room dividing the seating into two sections. Pool table on the left and plenty of tv screens to watch games. The bathrooms are clean. The vie is most welcoming with a neighborhood feel.

I ordered the steak and chicken nachos. They’re very healthy and delicious. A lot of avocado, onions, black olives and a choice of chicken or steak. Great quality food.

Been a while since I came here but i was out in the car and my dog had run out of water, I walked into Stingers with an empty bowl and the gentleman behind var was happy to help us out with some fresh water and even threw some ice in for my pup. It sounds like a small effort but in today’s day and age small acts of kindness without financial gain are hard to come by so I wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation. Go dolphins!!

Friendly staff, well equipped bar with 2 pool tables & shuffleboard. It’s a great place to grab a bite and a drink (if you enjoy some libations). Don’t forgot to try the garlic fries, wings & the sliders!! They even have on hand some quality salsa(Pepper Plant, etc)
