This is the KFC fried chicken I’ve waited the longest for. However, there weren’t many people in front of me, and while there were many staff members, very few were actually working; they were just chatting. If you don’t want to wait a long time and receive a salty, overcooked fried chicken, you can choose this one.

Whole lobby full of customers waiting on chicken to be cooked, tables behind me are occupued as well waiting for food. . Bad planning, not a good start. 3 employees are standing around in the back not working. 45 minute wait for a dine in order…. this business wont be back open long….. it should have just stayed closed….. might have to ask for a refund in order to get my girlfriend to work on time….

This has to be the worst KFC I’ve ever been to! It just opened this month and is this bad? I have never seen or had chicken this Greasy / old. The breading is soggy from the grease, bones are broken/ dark/ old. KFC should be embarrassed! The grease is dripping from the bucket, into the bag, into my car seat and onto my fingers!

First of all, I know that this location is busy. It’s the only KFC we have now.
I made my order online at 4:58. The app said, 5-15 minutes. The drive thru line was out on to University. I parked and waited about 15 minutes before I went in. The lobby was full of people waiting for food. I stood for an hour and still no food. It’s wasn’t until a nice kind lady told the employees that I had been waiting for an hour. They finally called my name and gave me my order. The area manager stopped me and told me to call next time and ask for her. I was so annoyed after standing there for an hour, I grabbed my bag and walked out. I drove the 25-30 minutes home. I start getting the food out the bag. I got the $25 extra crispy festive meal. It’s supposed to come with 2 large mashed potatoes. The bowls wasn’t filled up but MAYBE 25% full. It also comes with 4 different gravies. I didn’t get a single one. They even bumped another ladies order off the screen. She was there before me and left at the same time I did. I miss the KFC in Savoy. Hopefully they open another one to take the ease of this location.

The wait here is pretty long so it’s best to bring a snack. If you’re at KFC then you probably like fried chicken, in which case there’s a couple of great local restaurants where you can purchase your snack. Watson’s shack and rail in downtown Champaign has incredible fried chicken. Dave’s hot chicken on Neil street is also a great choice for a quick and spicy chicken snack. Panda Express just a block away has a number of sweet and flavorful chicken dishes.
You might think that the KFC in Urbana would be a good place to buy a snack while you’re waiting for your food at the KFC in Urbana but actually that’s not the case. If you did that you’d be in a neverending loop of waiting on them to cook your biscuits.
Ohh and also, if you find the bathrooms here too dirty for your comfort, just take a quick drive over to the county jail where the bathrooms are much cleaner.

I’m happy KFC is back open, but they’re still getting ppls orders wrong! We ordered an 8pc original all white meat chicken only, with a Mac n cheese chicken bowl and a famous bowl. We received an 8pc all dark meat, and 2 famous bowls! I knew KFC reopening with new staff was too good to be true!

It was $94 for 4 people to eat with only a large Mac n cheese and a large gravy added on. The tender meal is not worth it. Very small tenders without much breading. They looked more like nuggets. Will not be spending any more money there. Krispy krunchy Chicken is much better and better priced

Terrible experience. So many staff but there is no one manning their counters. I asked one to take my order, one staff said I had to wait for the one lady who mans the counter who at the time was outside taking bags for another customer. When asked who else takes orders for the counter, the lady was really rude complaining about how they were occupied because of a 1100$ order. She told us quite rudely “if you cant wait you can leave and go to another place”.

If there was a zero stars i would have chosen that. I wish I would have read the reviews before we went there. Getting it ordered was not easy. They had no original, only extra crispy so we said we would wait because we dont like extra crispy. 30 minutes later they came to our table and said they still had not put original in so I asked for a refund. The lady charged me $10 for 2 medium sodas and credited my card for the other $28. She was very rude about it and would not give me a receipt for my credit so fingers crossed I get my refund. Will never go back.

After 8-9 pm, there is never any dark meat available, only white meat. I’ve been observing the staff for a couple of weeks now and it seems that type of meat is not there because the staff like to close up early (totally understandable) but they’re lazy and don’t want the hassle of cooking that type of meat by the time they’ve started cleaning up and closing the indoor dining space.
