I had lunch at Frank’s Place while in the area today after craving their Portobello Al Forno appetizer. This amazing dish, with unique seasonings, is a generous entrée and perfect for a light lunch. As a remedy for the winter blahs I also brought home a dinner entrée, along with a bit of Tiramisu! The family story, and history of the place made it even more special. Anita provided exceptional service as great as the menu!

Hands down some of the best pizza we have ever had! We try new local pizza places everytime we are in a new town and I highly recommend this place! 12/10! We ordered the Hawaiian and bread sticks. We also got spicy cheese curds which were delicious with a nice spicy kick!

We decided to eat hear about a week ago. My husband always passes by when he’s working out this way. So let me start with ,while we’re driving I’m reading the reviews. Omg! And I work in the food industry as a chef. So it’s hard to go out and not be critical, but i do my best to not judge.. we were seated immediately, and our server was super nice and attentive to our needs. We ordered 3 appetizers. Mottzarella sticks,the eggplant, and pepperoni bread stick. Good start. Then dinner salad ,yuk.yellow watery, blan. Then I watched the manger walk across the front line chugging her drink.. just no. And mind you they all use the same pos system on the front line. Watching all of them putting in orders, not once seeing of them wash hands. Then a couple post down is a review with a horrible server,but thankfully we didn’t end up with her,but I did watch her eat something off the front line,lick her finger ,wipe her mouth with blue cloth and set it on the counter ,yuk again. No eating or drinking on the line. It’s unprofessional and just nasty. Got through dinner it was maw, and just when I thought cool.we made it through dinner, I watched my server eat something on the front line wipe her hands and bring us our ticket..so many violations and just not good. I feel like make a little effort with trying, and the cooks definitely aren’t cooking with love . My daughter didn’t even eat her dinner. And we took most of our food home, sauce was minimal. We definitely will not be returning.

This is a great place to eat we had many meals through years. Their 16 “ Deluxe pizza has very fresh ingredients and pepperoni breadsticks with cheese are outstanding. We’ve never had a bad meal from Frank’s Place! Friendly and efficient staff and the place has a charm to it unlike any other in Danville for Italian restaurants. I will continue visit this outstanding restaurant in the community. Love it!

Great service. I was part of a family of 17 and the 2 servers were very professional, attentive and took great care of us. The food was hot and plentiful.

Driving back to Indy, we stopped for an early dinner. Danville friends recommended Frank’s. We were not disappointed. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. The bread dipping oil was a bit different. I think there were anchovies in it. Delicious, just different and unexpected.

We just came across this place we went on Friday night and it was delicious!! Amazing food the only thing we we’re not crazy about was the minestrone soup It was ok but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it. Our son got a cheese pizza and it was one of the best Pizzas we’ve ever had!! We will definitely be going back!!
