What a pleasant surprise to find a very nice Filipino restaurant outside Winston-Salem, NC in Clemmons.
The owner and staff at island cuisine keep a lovely clean restaurant with tasty authentic Filipino food. We enjoyed the Lumpia and various dishes recommended by the owner. Everything was cooked fresh and delicious. The dessert was especially tasty. Parking is easy right in front of the restaurant and they have music in Friday night’s.
Filipino food is an Asian Spanish blend well worth trying. Island Cuisine is a great food ambassador. Our noodle and beef dishes were vying for the most delicious. You can’t lose trying a few and taking some home with you!

They have the best tasting food in Clemmons and the customer service is amazing! I love coming here every chance I get. The Bulalo Family Style is my absolute favorite. The lechon kawali and lumpia rolls are soooo good. Everything tastes amazing, it’s so hard to choose that I end up ordering extra to make sure I always have leftovers. I recommend this place to everyone! They also have karaoke and buffet on Saturdays. This is the best authentic Filipino food I have found anywhere near here within a few hours drive.

If you’re spotting this review, make a beeline for Island Cuisine in Clemmons—trust me, you won’t regret it! This charming little gem serves up mouthwatering dishes that are lightning-fast, bursting with unbeatable freshness and flavor, all wrapped in a warm, family-style vibe and top-notch service. We were road-tripping from Myrtle Beach toward Moravian Falls when we stumbled upon it, and it was so darn incredible, we seriously toyed with the idea of looping back on our return journey. Hands down, five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What i do not understand is how this restaurant is in clemmons, with the fresh ingredients, fresh blended tangy spicy filipino flavors, how is this restaurant not in times square nyc?! Food is so good. Real food, real prices 10-20 a head, blows any Chinese out of the water i have eaten in the last 8 years = you need to convert. And the owners are friendly , welcoming, good vibes, Filipino is our new fresh soulfood.

A Filipino Feast That Feels Like Home – 10 Stars If I Could!
This hidden gem of a Filipino island cuisine restaurant just became my new obsession! We went for the $20 per person buffet, and let me tell you—it’s an absolute steal. Every dish burst with authentic, soul-warming flavors that transported us straight to the islands.
The lumpia we ordered on the side? Chef’s kiss perfection. Crispy, golden, and packed with savory goodness—hands down the best I’ve ever had. My personal favorites from the buffet were the pancit noodles (so flavorful and perfectly seasoned) and the garlic longanisa—sweet, garlicky, and utterly addictive. But the chicken afritada? Pure comfort in a bowl. Tender chicken, rich sauce, and veggies that melted in your mouth. Every bite felt like a hug from a Filipino tita.
Everything on the spread was fresh, vibrant, and clearly made with love. The staff was warm, attentive, and proud of their food—and it shows.
If you’re craving authentic Filipino flavors, RUN, don’t walk. I’d give this place 10 stars if the system allowed it. Highly, highly recommend! ✨

Don’t sleep on this place! Came here with my husband on a Saturday when they had the buffet and everything was so delicious. The people couldn’t be nicer and the food tasted like you were going to your aunties house. Everything was seasoned perfectly and was fresh. We will definitely be returning.

Hands down some of the best Filipino food I’ve had. The kind of meal that makes you pause after the first bite and do a little dance. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Great service, warm atmosphere, and food that absolutely delivers. This place is a gem.

Food is very authentic. Friendly owner and very clean restaurant. As a Filipino here in the US, it took me back home on my first bite of pork sisig. I also got the bulalo soup (beef soup) which is very popular in the Philippines. Very generous in serving portions. The sweet and sour chicken with rice also hit the spot.
Don’t forget their biko yema ube dessert which is made of sticky rice, coconut milk and taro. Coming to this place made my day. Awesome place to come and try if you like Filipino foods.

It was a mixed bag.
The staff were kind and helpful. The dessert was delicious. I’m not sure of the name, but it was warm and purple with the texture like a tapioca pie. Def worth trying!
However, the entrees were just alright – reminiscent of something you’d get at a mall food court. My girlfriend found a shell in her shrimp dish. Their tea tasted old. The lighting was harsh. And we were disappointed in their use of styrofoam.

Decided to try the Buffet @ Island Cusine. I tried a bit of everything and it was all very good. I discovered I like Eggplant. The food was fresh and everything was very clean. I’ll be back…..
