They have all the pizza on display with an untouched Sicilian pie. After visually inspecting all my options I decided it looked best so I ordered one slice. After several minutes of waiting I noticed the pie still had all the pieces untouched. So I said, “oh I thought I was ordering what I was looking at.” The counter people chuckled after seeing how frustrated I was.
Then it comes, an old Sicilian slice that had been sitting there the entire day (it’s 5PM now). I was very irritated and took a bite into a cold Sicilian slice, yes, that’s how long it had been sitting there for. So I walked up to the counter and requested another slice and paid again. I left the old slice on the table after I finished to leave a message.
Don’t display customers food that they will not be getting served, and if you can tell the customer is really unhappy with what you just deceived them into getting, you should probably not charge them twice for it. If that slice was on display, I wouldn’t have ordered it.
I was gonna order a hero, plus tip, not like I was only ordering 2 slices of Pizza.
The guy on the phone tells me, that’s only gonna come out to $14 for the hero, so he was basically making me have to add stuff on just to get to the $20 minimum so, they can deliver it. When they do that, it takes off of the tip I was gonna give the delivery guy, so that sucks for him.
They have excellent food, but I am never ordering from them again… That was an insult. Not like i was having the guy deliver 30 minutes away or something, then i would understand him saying a $20 minimum for delivery to pay for the gas, but to the next town over which is like 5 minutes away?
I’m giving a negative review because of the service. The guy with the curly hair was not that pleasant to begin with, not that big of a deal, but more than that I’m confident that he hooked me for $10. The total was $24.75, I handed him $40 and he gave me back $5.25 in change. The reason I didn’t confront him was because I was in the middle of a happy conversation with my son about his accomplishments. I didn’t even want to bother bickering with someone who either can’t count or is trying to rip me off. I’m pretty certain because I looked at my bills before I handed it to him, I returned from the ATM where they dispensed only $20’s to me ($100 total). I was more amazed that he would do that, I knew right away, and he sheepishly looked at me while I waited for my pizza. I’d rather go this route than go back and forth with a stranger in front of my kid.
I’ll admit the pizza is very good (rolls maybe not). Please double check your bill, your change and stay alert if you go here. To the owner, hopefully you can get some good staff ( a smile, basic counting skills) in there so your pizza can shine. I’m so tempted to give only 1 star, looking at the other reviews the service seems to be a real problem . This was such an unforced error, like c’mon why are you operating at this level in this nice town?!
Layout/atmosphere
*Booths in front by display case, tables in back; three TVs; backyard area with tables
Food/drink
*Margherita Pizzetta – quite good; thicker crust; really liked the tomatoes/sauce
*Vodka Square Slice – solid; very thin; oily
