Cute diner that has an extensive menu. The drinks, cappuccino and chai latte, were just ok. The chicken that comes with the chicken and waffle were fantastic! Great spice and crunch. The waffle was quite soft and a bit soggy even though I requested it to be well done/dark. The eggs Benedict was standard. The French toast was well done. I would come back for a quick brunch.

I wanted to give a shout out to Damian our server who cared for more than 14 of my guests after my daughter’s wedding in December . A month later I returned with my husband and Damian remembered me by mentioning what I drank that day a month before including the cinnamon I requested!!! His exceptional memory and love for service will not go unnoticed. My husband and I will continue to eat at this dinner during our dates together. Damion thank you for your service. In addition , The food speaks for itself. It’s fresh and delicious!!! Highly recommended and worth the wait.

A great location with stellar interior, truly stunning, and staff that wait on you with meticulous care. The food is decent to good so it was odd that on a busy evening on Friday we were one of only three parties seated, especially considering that most other restaurants in Princeton have long waits. The problem is the price of food I think. An omlette shouldn’t be $18. It’s your basic long menu that Jersey diner’s are famous for but without the decent prices. The decor looks like a high end restaurant, I think things are a little mixed up. If they assesed this, and re-launched, the shell of greatness is there.

Very clean and cute diner/restaurant. Light colors in interior design, spacious layout and comfortable seating.
Service – attentive and friendly. The only thing – the food was average for the price. My Eggs Benedict were overcooked to my taste and potatoes pretty dry.
But great location in the middle of Princeton, walkable, parking available (but we did come at the opening on Saturday and by the time we were leaving, there was no available parking in the area).

During my lunch appointment, I ordered a pastrami sandwich. The service was exceptionally attentive and efficient.

The dining establishment was clean and spacious.

Regrettably, the quality of the food was subpar. The pastrami was dry and lacked flavour, although the portion size was generous and the preparation was satisfactory.

I am unable to provide an opinion on other dishes.

Food and ambience is so great, Brandon our waiter was even greater! Lovely food, plenty of delicious options, ambience and decor is classic ‘50s Americana diner-cute. Brandon our waiter (who apparently is new, wow, couldnt tell, great job!) made the experience a perfect 5 stars with their kindness and consideration. Thanks for all! I got the Hotel California Burger and a matzoh ball soup. Yum! Just what I needed ~

Great diner in the heart of Princeton. Not your usual diner atmosphere or menu, but a very welcome change. We will be back.

Stopped by the Nassau Diner for breakfast while visiting Princeton. The food was tasty and freshly made, and the service was decent. The diner has that classic, comfortable vibe that fits perfectly in such a beautiful town. A nice spot to start the day!

The pastrami sandwich was stacked high and incredibly filling, easily enough for two people. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, and the cozy diner vibe made it even better

I’ve been to a lot of diners in Jersey, but The Nassau Diner truly blew me away. The food was absolutely fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and exactly what a Jersey diner should be (and then some). But what really made the experience unforgettable was Ricardo’s outstanding service.

Ricardo went above and beyond — genuinely welcoming, attentive without ever being overbearing, and made me feel like more than just another customer. His professionalism and warmth set the tone for the whole meal.

Born and raised in Toms River, I’ve been to countless diners over the years, and I can honestly say this is the best diner experience I’ve ever had. If you’re anywhere near Princeton, do yourself a favor and stop in. Nassau Diner and Ricardo set the bar high. ☕️
