Benjamin is very personable and sweet.
Chef Wilfredo cooks with his heart, there is love in every bite.
I will be visiting here often.
But I was pretty disappointed with the portion size when I got my food. I ordered the Ribs with a side of fries. The fries tasted really good and the portion was ok for the cost but when I got my ribs, there was 3 ribs, each like 2-3 inches long for the $13 it cost me to buy. I finished the whole thing in 6 bites…would have been nice to know that before I ordered it because I would not have ordered that if I knew it would be so tiny.
They didn’t have a drinks menu but the guy said they’d make us margaritas and we agreed. But when the bill came the margaritas were tallied at $16 each…again, if we’d known the price we would not have ordered those. I left feeling cheated out of my ribs and robbed for the drinks. Yeah, I probably could have asked about sizes and prices but also 1. It’s a grill place. I’ve never gotten three dinky ribs for $13 at any other grill. It’s usually like 6-8 good size ribs. And secondly, all the (non-alcoholic) drinks were priced at $2 so the jump to $16 blew me away.
But on a positive note, my wife really enjoyed her lo mien and the portion size wasn’t terrible for the price. Also, the server was friendly and even charismatic.
Upon arrival, we were checked in outside but then left to find our own seating without direction. After waiting ten minutes at the table, a staff member dropped off menus without a greeting or introduction. Due to the lack of floor service, I eventually had to go to the bar to order our drinks myself.
The atmosphere felt a bit off as well—the lighting was quite bright and the music choice didn’t quite fit the ‘date night’ aesthetic. We ultimately decided to leave before ordering food. The staff didn’t seem intentionally rude, but they appeared disengaged or perhaps understaffed. I can see the potential in the venue, so I hope these service gaps can be addressed.”
