exas de Brazil Detroit delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The butchers are truly exceptional — every cut of meat they bring to the table is perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and carved with real skill. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the flavor and tenderness of every bite.
Their beef selection is incredibly rich and diverse, offering everything from classic cuts to premium options that you don’t find everywhere. The variety keeps the experience exciting, and each serving feels fresh and high quality. If you’re a meat lover, this place is a dream.
The salad bar is also impressive, filled with fresh ingredients, unique sides, and great options to complement the meats. The atmosphere is warm, elegant, and comfortable, making it a great spot for both special occasions and casual nights out. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes sure you’re always taken care of.
Overall, this is one of the best all-you-can-eat steakhouse experiences I’ve had. Amazing service, amazing butcher team, and a truly rich beef menu. Highly recommended!

We had such a great time here! The restaurant is beautiful and upscale with an amazing selection of meats—lamb, chicken, shrimp, pork, steak, and filet mignon—brought to our table non-stop. We loved the cheese bread, fresh salad bar, and tasty side dishes. The passion mango fruit drink was so refreshing, the desserts were perfect, and the service was friendly and attentive. It was the perfect spot for our family get-together over the holiday weekend!

DO NOT EAT HERE!! I honestly don’t even know how Texas de Brazil is still operating with the kind of food they served me. I was given completely RAW, soggy meat — not “rare,” not “juicy,” but literally wet, mushy, cold-in-the-middle slabs that looked like they had been soaking in some questionable liquid before being barely waved over a grill. It was disgusting and absolutely unsafe to eat.
For a place that charges almost $90, this was an absolute joke. The quality was so bad that I genuinely started contemplating filing a credit card dispute because I’m not paying premium prices for raw, slimy meat that shouldn’t even be legally served. It was honestly shocking — one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in my entire life.
The servers kept bringing out the same undercooked, soggy cuts, even after I asked for something properly cooked. The meat was so unappetizing I couldn’t even force myself to swallow it. I left hungry, irritated, and feeling like I had just thrown money straight into the trash. Save yourself the disappointment, the nausea, and the wasted money. This place is a complete embarrassment, and I’m never coming back. Absolutely disgusting do not waste your money

First time going tonight with my fiancé for our 5 year anniversary, and was completely wowed. Our server, Karen I believe, was so amazing. She had the best hospitality I’ve seen in someone. If I could leave more stars I would.

Unfortunately cannot recommend this place. Not only did we have terrible service, the food wasn’t good. We had a 5:15pm reservation and had to wait over an hour for our table. Hosts kept saying we were “next” for 45 minutes. When we were finally sat and got to eat, all the cuts of meat were overly smoky and tasted like liquid smoke. For the price, I would recommend literally ANY other Brazilian steakhouse. Fogo de Chao is easily the best in the area.

What a fantastic restaurant. I usually don’t visit chain restaurants, but I’m glad I came here. I really liked the format of guys walking around with various meats and cutting some off for you. It’s a good thing I’m fat because the meat just kept coming. There were multiple varieties of beef, pork, chicken and lamb; each one better than the next. The little bread basket was really good too. The salad bar is impressive too and after eating so much meat it’s good to have some vegetables. The service was good and they stayed on top of things. I had a reservation, but still had to wait twenty minutes. At first I was a bit upset by that, but once I started eating I completely forgot about it. The food was definitely worth the wait. If you’re a vegan you probably shouldn’t even look in the window. If you love meat, you will definitely love this place.

This place was kind of a disappointment for over $50 per person. They need to update their wine list with current options. I tried ordering two different bottles that they ended up being out of and then gave up and just ordered a cocktail by the glass instead. Any of the pork that came around was super dry. And the servers don’t necessarily pay attention to whether your cards are red or green. The salad bar was my favorite. Crisp romaine lettuce! And the lobster bisque. Overall, I would rather spend the $$ at a local chophouse instead.

The atmosphere here has an upscale feel to it. That being said the tables are absolutely packed together like sardines.
The salad bar area is very good with lots of choices. The Lobster Bisque is excellent.
The side items of Mashed Potatoes and Sweet Fried Bananas are excellent, heck I had four servings of the Fried Bananas. The fries are very average though.
The meats were mostly very good and tender. A couple of them were too charred for my tastes.
The service was very friendly, but very inefficient. There would be large periods where my waitress just seemed to fall off the planet. The place was extraordinarily busy though. Even with reservations there was a wait.
Overall a 4 star review. Would I return? Probably, it was good, I just don’t love feeling like a sardine.

Honestly, so disappointed. I came here last year for a friend’s birthday and it was awesome. Decided to come here last weekend for my birthday with just my husband and I. Our waiter asked if we had been there before and when we said yes, he kind of just disappeared. We were served water and that’s about it. We finally just went the salad bar and then sat and ate that. We had no tokens to flip for meats so we kept getting ignored. We finally asked a different waiter for the tokens. By the time the meat came around, almost every piece of meat was mostly fat. It did not taste as good as the last time we came. Overall, we were just disappointed. I feel bad leaving bad reviews but this experience made me never want to come back. I even marked “Birthday” for special occasion on the reservation and all they say is Happy Birthday lol… with the $ you’re paying, you’d think they’d throw a girl a cupcake or somethin? Idk.

Food was decent but the service was absolutely awful and we left disappointed and hungry! We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday last night. Neither of us had been before, which we told the waitress. She talked so fast we couldn’t even understand what was going on. Several gauchos came to our table before we even got our drinks, but we weren’t aware we were supposed to go grab our own plates. My husband ordered a Johnny Walker Black and, once he finished, his drink sat empty for over 30 minutes before he was finally able to flag the waitress down for another drink, which she forgot to put in and then got wrong. There was also a dirty plate taking up valuable table space for over an hour. After we had been there for about 45 minutes and tried maybe 4 meats each, the gauchos completely ignored us even when our cards were turned to green and we tried to make eye contact when they were walking around the restaurant. After we didn’t have one person come to our table for over 30 minutes, we decided to cash out. We were not offered dessert which we would have gotten, given it was my husbands birthday. Overall a very disappointing, expensive experience for what we received.
