Fantastic spot to learn about sake or encounter some true rarities. Interesting industry insights really add another layer to the tasting experience. Perfect small bar Japan experience, with the ability to chat in English. Small plates all well chosen for sake snacking. Great music selection, always lovely to encounter a fellow follower of The Boss.

Great Sake Bar with a really cool selection of sake.

The owner is very knowledgeable about sake – but also very friendly, which makes this a great place whether you are a sake beginner or a seasoned sake lover.

There’s some small food items as well and the mini sake kasu pizzas are awesome.

It’s a great place to do a sake tasting.

It’s is a good mix of locals and tourists.

Great sake, great food, friendly service and cool music. Sake house is where it’s at.

The owner is a from Australia but has lived in Japan for 25 years. So he speaks the language and can tell you everything about Sake.

After a disaster in Tokyo at Sake I almost gave, then by accident we discovered Sake house.

He made up for that Sake tasting giving us a world class experience.

This is a must for newcomers to try and veterans who know Sake.

Super affordable, easy walk from Osaka station and main area.

My friends tried sake with whiskey flavor and our other group did sweet.

Also tried the snake sake with was not as bad as it sounded.

Julian the owner knows is incredibly knowledgeable about sake and has a wide selection to help even a novice drinker find something enjoyable. The space in small, but in a good way. It feels cozy and intimate. The food menu is limited, but we’ll thought out. Fresh made little bites of foods (like hummus and grilled halloumi cheese) that are not common in Japan, but pair well with the drinks. Highly recommend especially for people that want to know more about sake, but don’t know where to start.

100% recommended for everyone! Both for those who love sake and for those who have never tried it before. The owner is a native English speaker, which makes communication an added advantage. He shares interesting facts and personal experiences with sake. He also has a large bar and a great selection, so you definitely won’t be disappointed.

We are foreigners, and during our visit we learned a lot not only about sake, but also about life in Japan. it was an unforgettable and enriching experience! Thanks again!

If you are in Osaka it is a must! The sake was amazing and the snacks delicious!! Julian has so much knowledge about sake! He is so kind and so nice! He made the experience of my first sake tasting one for the books! When you talk about the experience it’s not the same, it is one of those you had to be there stories! 10/10 would recommend!!

Great sake spot for locals or tourists. Owner has lived in Japan 25+ years and is very welcoming and knowledgeable. Simply drink some sake or learn a little about it too if you’re interested. Was our last bar after two weeks traveling Japan and it was our favorite. Go drink some sake!

If you are a sake lover, this is for you!!
The owner Julian is a great conversationalist, speaks Japanese & English fluently, very welcoming to tourists and locals and has a great attitude and knowledge of sake.

His recommendations led us to try some exceptional sake that fit our tastes and learn new things!

No table charge, no BS, just a solid cozy place to enjoy a great hand selection of sake.

Definitely a highlight to our Osaka trip!

Newly opened, this chill, cozy, Aussie-run saké bar is a treat for everyone who likes a good sip.

As I stepped in the door, the subtle punk soundtrack was a hint this wasn’t my average saké joint.

Any shop that slaps hummus on its menu draws my eye; one that also has doburoku gave me a double-take. But a saké stand with saganaki – this had me doing cartwheels.

The half-dozen or so labels on its menu (as well as the half-dozen or so that weren’t) were each fun to sip, and whether you’re a newcomer to Nihonshu or have your own Masu collection at home, Julian’s got a special glass for you.

Can’t wait to head back.
