Sfoglina (sfoal-yee-nah) is Fabio Trabocchi’s ode to the Italian Dolce Vita and the craft of handmade pasta. It is inspired by the female masters of Italy, that are today cultural icons, who carried on the tradition and the art of making pasta by hand. The craft is showcased daily in our pasta rooms. Sfoglina serves light and seasonal salads, appetizers, meat and seafood entrees that can be shared, and authentic, family-favorite Italian desserts. Our charming venues feature a whimsical design and timeless Italian cocktails, approachable Italian wines, and comfy patios for al fresco dining.

Really enjoyed our first experience here. We had impeccable service from Angie. She remembered dietary restrictions from the reservation, split our salad without us asking, and brought us complimentary gelato with our dessert. Service like this will bring us back! The food was also very tasty with quite a few vegetarian options. We will certainly be back soon!

Nice atmosphere with tasty food & cocktails. I had the spritz trio which was fun and let me try all the spritz flavors! For dinner I ordered the Pappardelle with gluten pasta which was very good! Absolutely the best Italian food I’ve had in the area! We celebrated my husband’s birthday here, and everything was perfect. The service was phenomenal, and the pasta was out of this world. We ordered the warm Tuscan bread, grilled calamari, grilled octopus, spicy rigatoni, and linguine alle vongole — everything was absolutely delicious. The sauces and pasta were cooked perfectly.

It was our first time here—we came for Happy Hour and enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying for several hours and ordering a couple of pasta dishes from the main menu, which were outstanding. The food was excellent, and KP and Teodora provided exceptional service. The espresso was perfectly prepared—rich, smooth, and a wonderful finish to the meal. The music and atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. We’re already looking forward to coming back very soon. Thank you all for the great food and a wonderful evening!

Quality food, unprofessional service that was somehow too slow and too fast.
The owner of this company clearly put a lot more effort into training the chefs than the server staff. We have dined at their downtown location, and the service is as superb as the cuisine. The service in Rosslyn, however, was really lacking from start to finish. The hostess was rude when we asked to enjoy a couple of happy hour drinks before starting our meal (“Just so you know, you only have 30 minutes left” in a condescending tone). We then were seated in the patio and almost missed happy hour because it took 15 minutes for a server to arrive at our table. Water should be served as soon as you sit down. The server saw us and ignored us until I walked inside to hail a manager. The lack of training and disorganization continued with the meal, as my wife’s main course was delivered while she was only halfway through her soup. Toward the end of the meal, one of the managers came by and asked how everything was going, and I noted the poorly timed main course issue. Instead of apologizing and taking ownership of the mishap, she just said, “Okay” and walked away, never to be seen again. The company really needs to retrain the entire service crew. I’ve had better service at Olive Garden.
The food quality was excellent, but for the prices they charge (total came to about $215 with a couple drinks and a coffee each), I expect more effort with presentation. No real effort to garnish or do anything unique. Fine for a casual place, not for these prices.

Absolutely one of the most charming places with amazing food and service and Italian vibe! It’s a very rare find in Arlington. But considering that the chef and the owner is Fabio Trabocchi (Fiola, Fiola Mare, Del Man some of his other restaurants ) it explains the quality and style of the place.
Our bartender had such a great personality and she was professional ! We came for a few drinks ( and all of them were exceptional especially with her recommendations! And we are super picky guests ) It was such a pleasure a to be there that we ended up with absolutely unreal dish -Braised Beef Short Rib Agnolotti, served with a luscious truffle pesto sauce and Parmigiano. It was consumed before even a chance to take a picture.

Very popular place on a Thursday. We found the food to be very good but were disappointed that our choice of appetizer wasn’t available. Service was commendable given the crowd. We’ll definitely go back.

I came into Sfoglina after work for happy hour and left so pleased with the experience I decided to write a review! Not only was the food fantastic (you HAVE to get the Italian grilled cheese it’s amaze), but the service was really great too. One of the bartenders, Kp, walked me through her recs and was super attentive throughout my visit (my water glass was always full AND she kept me plied with lemons). Seeing as it was martini Monday, I decided to go with the espresso martini. Literally one of the best ones I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be coming back here soon with others and hopefully Kp will be there to make fabulous drinks and conversation as well!
