We had a pleasant evening at Miller & Carter. The environment is definitely a highlight—it’s stylish, well-decorated, and has a great “steakhouse” feel that makes it perfect for a special occasion or a nice night out.
​As for the food, the steak itself was good and cooked exactly as requested. However, the rest of the meal was just “okay”—it didn’t quite have that “wow” factor I was expecting given the reputation. While everything was perfectly edible and presented well, it didn’t feel particularly impressive or unique. A solid choice for a reliable steak, but perhaps a bit predictable.

We have eaten here numerous times and think its brill. Love the atmosphere, staff and food!

My only complaint this time was that the meat was cold… i always have the tbone, it tasted beautiful as ever but it was noticeably colder than usual and i just put it down to eating it rare, doesnt allow much heat into the meat.

However, my wife had ribs this time and they were very cold… right from the first mouth full. We thought maybe it was the sauce but the meat itself had no heat whatsoever… the chips were warm but that was it.

We are not usually complainers (unless its horrendous) so we just ate them as they were still tasty and still enjoyed our time hence the £150 bill for 2 of us but i do think pork ribs should be warm/hot.

We visited for dinner without a reservation, so the 30-minute wait for a table was reasonable. The waitress service was fine, though not particularly memorable.
Cleanliness could be improved — the wine glass had stains, and the lamp above the table was dusty, which slightly affected the overall impression.
For the food:
• I ordered chicken and Wagyu steak.
• The chicken was burnt on the bottom, making the skin too hard to eat, though the meat inside was soft and flavorful.
• The Wagyu steak was okay, but didn’t feel special enough to justify the £44 price.
Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but I expected a bit more in terms of food quality and attention to detail.

The whole experience was amazing. Without question this was the nicest steak I have ever had in a restaurant. I also always have Calamari, it’s a running joke with My Daughter, we send each other pictures of our calamari dishes. This was indeed the nicest calamari I’ve had, hot, light, tasty, good portion. Very satisfying. I have stopped ordering steak in restaurants as it’s always so disappointing and usually my order is wrong. I used to like to cook American BBQ amd even had a big smoker at home and I would cook outdoors a lot before illness so I know what I like. The quality was exceptional. The staff that served us were also excellent. They were very accommodating of my needs in my wheelchair. They were polite, attentive and friendly without being overbearing and really made the occasion. Nothing was too much trouble. I was full half way through my meal but there was no way I was wasting any morsal of the meal. We even had cocktails and finished with an Irish coffee. Not something we’d usually do but we’re so enjoying the experience. It was the perfect end to a lovely weekend away as we were travelling home. On the way out we had a lovely chat with the Mangeress just to finish everything off and make it more special. The only issue we had was we enjoyed everything so much we forgot to get our very first stamp on our new reward card

Celebrated my 60th birthday with a lovely fillet steak and a glass of red wine. Very welcomed by the team who went the extra mile to decorate my table, and the waitress Abbie also gave me a foc small fudge cake with a candle.

My first time here and I’ll definitely be back. Michelle was super professional, informative and friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxed with boujie decor! My steak was the best I’ve ever had and would recommend the camerbert mashed potato.

Went to Miller and Carter for a special date night recently it was a Wednesday and they had a 3 course menu for £36.50 each (only available Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm) food came out fresh, hot and tasty we really enjoy it here but this menu made it even better. We had squid and cauliflower starter (ate it too fast before I could get a pic) both had steak mine was the 8oz sirloin – the other half had a 12oz for a small supplement both came with onion loaf, a lettuce wedge and fries on the side, then for pudding we had a chocolate brownie and the cheesecake. Will go back again soon! We’ve actually booked to go for their boxing day menu.

Great service and lovely food, the lunch menu is a brilliant offer, 2 courses for £18 and when we went mocktails were 2 for £10 so bargain for a late afternoon lunch.

Service was great, staff very attentive and friendly.
Tuesday afternoon when we went it was not very busy so we were able to get a table straight away.

Great after a trip to Cheshire oaks!
