The saltenas were honestly to die for!!! The shell is sweet but the filling is incredibly delicious! I would have been fine just eating those. My date and I also got soups and they were very good- I will definitely come back and recommend. My only critique is that it is quite difficult putting our left over soups in the to go container, we spilled some on the table.

This was my second visit to El Pike Bolivian Restobar and it was just as great as the first time.
Service was excellent and the staff friendly.
Andrea took my drink order and provided a brown bread that I couldn’t stop eating.
I ordered the Castillo De Res and it was amazing. The amount of food including a side salad required a take home box. I paired dinner with a Bolivian Peach Drink (Mocochinchi) which was perfect.
This is a great authentic Bolivian restaurant that is truly a gem on the Pike.
I would recommend to family and friends.

This was the worst restaurant I could have ever been to; absolutely everything was horrible. The waitress did an absolutely appalling job. I’ve never been a demanding person, but I ordered a Tucumana as an appetizer, and then I ordered the rest of the food. The restaurant wasn’t full at all. They brought my food without the appetizer. I told the waitress that I had ordered a Tucumana first, and she didn’t even apologize. All she said was that it hadn’t come out yet, with a face that said she didn’t care at all. I said fine and she left the plate on the table. I had asked them to change the boiled potato for rice, but that was the second part of the horrible service. The waitress took the Tucumana out and showed it to the waitress who had been serving us from the beginning. When they brought it to the table, the Tucumana was completely raw, full of oil. It fell apart as soon as I touched it; the dough was raw and mushy. I told the waitress that it was raw, and she said she would change it. I told her not to wait 30 min for raw food, so they brought me the other dish I ordered, which was charque. The boiled potato took what was on my partner’s plate and put it on my plate.it was completely outrageous. The waitress left the plates and never came back to the table, she wasn’t interested in serving us at all. Besides that, the tip is included in the receipt, they give you bad service because the tip is mandatory on the receipt. The waitress’s attitude was awful, the food was horrible and salty, the meat had no flavor. She should be grateful i didn’t make a big deal about the lack of customer service and attention; everything was absolutely disgusting.

I’ve bought Salteñas from here. They were juicy and tasty. Well seasoned taste not salty. The ladies treated me nicely and even gave me samples of their three homemade drinks. Salteñas were pricey at about $4.5 a piece. I don’t remember the drinks but they had 3 different flavors. They were good. Wouldn’t recommend vegetarians here, these people are carnivores. Jeje

Lovely looking place but the saltenias I ordered were garbage. The bottom was soggy wet. And falling apart before I got to eat it. If you want quality saltenias go next door to pan America.

I am extremely disappointed. I have been going here for the last 20 years. It used to be my go-to place, but not anymore. 85% of the dish was potatoes, with very little meat and sausage. The flavor of the food has changed, and now they give you less food than before, despite the plate costing almost $25. As a Bolivian myself, this dish does not represent the traditional pique a lo macho from Bolivia. They really need to improve.

Personally I grew up in Bolivia and today New year 2025. The restaurant seemed that had no order to serve the people. We waited for over 40 min and kept reminding the waiter for our food and their excuse was the kitchen was busy. Funny to say that we were the first ones at the restaurant before it got busy. It also seemed that the server/bartender were intoxicated/smelled like alcohol. Once the manager was informed named Mario Sanchez. He didnt even walked out to apologize.

I tried this food and I was disappointed with the flavor. The salteñas were decent. The service was lacking. The waiters need more training. I would be willing to come back if the food and service improves.
