My family visited the area during February break from upstate NY where it had been below zero for 2 weeks. The open air beach side deck seating was a refreshing change. We were seated promptly. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent.

The food was ok. I got fish fingers. Nothing great. The slaw was good though. The beachside atmosphere was cool. Gave the kids sams buckets. Great idea. Waitress was ok, not very personable.

The vibe is really good and our server is attentive! The foods are pricy but reasonable. They are yummy except strawberry lemonade is too sweet for me(they change the alcohol inside cuz I can’t drink). Recommend Fried Snapper “N” Shrimp and shrimp linguine

Tyler the manager was very helpful and the atmosphere was awesome! But, Philip our server was outstanding and went the extra mile our entire visit!!! He even took some photos of us with the sunset! Tried the Crab Trap and loved it! The smoked tuna dip was addictive — creamy with the perfect smoky kick. The fried flounder was crisp, flaky, and full of flavor. Add ocean views and friendly service… we’ll 100% be back next trip!”

I had an amazing experience at The Crab Trap! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The crab dip was creamy, flavorful, and packed with fresh crab — definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. The gumbo was rich and hearty, with just the right amount of spice, and tasted like true comfort in a bowl. The crab cakes were perfectly seasoned, golden on the outside, and full of fresh crab meat inside.

On top of the incredible food, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made for a really enjoyable dining experience. If you love seafood, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I are locals and we rarely post reviews, hense no pics. We decided to go find some raw oysters for my birthday on the 1st which happened to be one of the coldest days this year and a Sunday. After finding our regular oyster stop closed early at 5:30 pm we decided to try The Crab Trap for the very first time. Best experiance ever! The oysters were out of this world. When I found out that due to the current oyster situation their oysters were from Maryland I was a bit apprehensive but after our waiter Philip let me sample a half dozen with option to move up to a full dozen I decided to give them a try. They were plump, fresh, and very tasty with only a hint of saltiness you get from Apalachicola or Louisiana oysters. My wife and I shared a steamed platter for two with snow crab legs, gulf shrimp, mussles, clams, sausage with corn and potatoes. Everything was steamed just right, not over or under cooked. Also, the bartender makes a excellent dirty vodka martini on ice. Ususally if the bartender knows dirt means olive juice they still mess it up with to little or too much juice but his was the correct mix everytime. Philip, the cook and the bartender all made this occasion one of the best dining experiances ever for my wife and I that I’m posting this review not so much as a review but as a big Thank You to all. My wife wants to go back for her birthday coming in March but I feel we will be back before then.

My wife and I dropped in on a Thursday evening, expecting a 20-minute wait—but they had a table ready for us in just 10. That kind of hospitality set the tone for the whole evening. The beach-inspired atmosphere was relaxing and scenic, perfectly matched with its boardwalk location right on the water.

Despite the busy dinner rush, our waiter was attentive and efficient, never missing a beat. The food? Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you’d hope for from a coastal spot. We left full, happy, and already planning our return visit.

Definitely a place that captures the spirit of beachside dining.
