This is a Great restaurant. From the moment you walk in on to this beautiful place we were greeted Lena K the Host. Lena has a beautiful smile and she took us to a great table facing their beutiful waterfall. Our Server Kevin C and Adam provided outstanding customer service! Kevin answered all of our questions about our special dinner and they all made this dinner very special. The food was outstanding! In addition they also have a great wine list. Kevin brought my wife an excellent tasty cheesecake. Rico the manager came by to make sure our evening went well.

Son’z Steakhouse is located inside the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere which includes a beautiful waterfall, swans and ducks gracefully swimming outside an inconspicuous wire netting that you barely know is there. The atmosphere is very romantic regardless of if you are dinning for breakfast or dinner. The best part about this dining experience is hands down the atmosphere. The service is also amazing, actually one of the best I have had. The staff are very attentive and are wonderful. We would definitely give breakfast a consistent 5 stars. Dinner was very good. We had the lamb, Brussels spouts, and salad. They have a great menu but it is a bit pricey. We spent over 300 dollars for the meal not including dessert and with 2 drinks. Breakfast with our package ran us 98 dollars a day for 2 people. Overall wonderful experience!!!!

Amazing restaurant with an overall excellent level of service and cuisine. The ambiance is what you would expect from a Maui resort as well. I had a Mai Tai and that baby was tasty and STRONG!
We had top tier mushrooms and truffle fries. The wagyu steak was 9/10. A bit more gristle than I would have liked, but still delicious. Lamb was also very good.

For the price, which was high even for Hawaii, the filet should have been better (it was relatively tough, but it had good flavor), the crème brûlée should have been firmer (it was like a somewhat unset pudding), and the caesar salad dressing should have had more flavor, and they should have used shaved parmesan cheese instead of the little round pieces that come in a package.
And, personally, I thought the twice cooked baked potato was a bit too whipped, it was almost like they put mashed potato into the skin of the baked potato … a twice baked potato should have some firmness to it.
But, we enjoyed the drinks and the server, Delfina, was a joy and a credit to Son’z.
In short, the atmosphere was superb … getting to sit right next to the swan’s night nesting area … and the server was delightful … but the food was not even close to being good enough to warrant the price, even so.

This is definitely a unique place to eat at. I loved sitting by the water and enjoyed eating dinner with friends. It is small so reservations are almost a must. You should either get them morning of or the day before if you can. Any group of six or more and they place an automatic tip. The food did take a hot minute to come out and they gave us the wrong order for dessert . But since we were easy going and the dessert was awesome we didn’t mind. No need to make fuss if it doesn’t matter. I ordered the lobster ravioli and my wife got the catch if the day. We both normally will try each other’s dish but we gobbled our dishes down respectfully without time to share . No need to say that the food was awesome, it was spectacular! The reasons for four stars instead of five is that the service was slow as dirt, they did get our dessert wrong, and it is very expensive.

Besides Japengo, this is the next best restaurant on Maui! The food is beyond delicious, and the breakfast buffet is the best I’ve ever had. They really took their time to craft an excellent menu. The atmosphere is welcoming, hospitable, and worthy of great reviews. I would highly recommend checking them out. They are the best at what they do!

We had such an incredible experience at Son’z Steakhouse! From the moment we arrived, our hostess seated us immediately. There was no wait at all, and we instantly felt like VIPs.
At one point, another server came over to our table to let us know that one of her guests loved the outfit I was wearing—it reminded them of an old country star—and they even wanted to buy us dessert. That alone made the night feel special.
We had the most epic view of a wraparound lake , two waterfalls and swans, and the manager came over personally to greet us. It honestly felt like we were in a movie.
The food was outstanding. We enjoyed an incredibly flavorful ribeye steak paired with lobster. And let me tell you—the drink served from the bar was absolutely mind-blowing. I took one sip of my girl’s drink and immediately said, “Who is the bartender back there?” It was probably one of the best cocktails I’ve ever tasted.
I also want to thank our server, Kevin. He took great care of us from the very beginning, made sure our drinks came out promptly, and ensured our food was prepared exactly the way we requested. His attentiveness truly elevated the entire experience.
Before dinner, we walked around and saw so many beautiful swans—including a stunning black swan. After we finished eating (and could barely move because we were so full!), we explored more of the hotel and even saw penguins. It turned into one of the most memorable dates I’ve ever taken my girl on.
Let’s just say when we got home, she showed her appreciation—drowning me in hugs, kisses, and compliments.
I also want to thank Mike, the manager. He truly went the extra mile to make sure we had an amazing experience and even offered to take photos of us by the waterfall.
Our experience was a straight five out of five stars. I’m convinced this is the best steakhouse in all of Maui!
