Got greeted at the door and shown to a table. Told where things were.
Great selection of Mexican, Chinese, Indian and Italian starters, main courses and sweets.
Couldn’t fault anything.
Staff very pleasant and attentive.
Easy to get to walking.
Many interesting choices for carnivores but not many for vegetarians let alone healthy ones. A few nice fresh salads though. Sweet section is plentiful but feels cheap.
Worst quality food and most expensive buffet in Glasgow. Many dishes are oversalted, too hot, swimming in oil and have uncooked vegetables. If you let chefs know they are usually confident their creation is perfect.
If the manager does not like you they will tell you to leave after 90 mins even if they still have free tables.
On many occasions when leaving the venue I thougt I will not return.
Pros – the Sushi was absolutely beautiful and really enjoyed them. The finger food appetisers were nice too. Dessert section had great options to choose from and the small cakes/muffins were nice. The inside of the place looked great. Staff were friendly enough.
Cons – the Chicken Noodle Soup was very strong tasting in ground pepper, and the appearance of it looked like dishwater. The deep fried section of the food wasn’t the warmest and fish was cold. The Chinese selection was pretty poor, with the Sweet and Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style tasting strange, and the Noodles feeling rubbery.
Waffle Bear – my friend with me got one that looked like it had mould on it, like you see on bread. After I looked at the ones on the tray, there were more like it. I alerted one of the waiters who said “they were made fresh this morning” and he went to check and said on return at first that it was “blue roll” then changed to saying “it was pepper that got inside”. We were offered a complimentary coffee on the house but neither of us are coffee drinkers so didn’t take it. I went back to dessert section and next thing the Waffle Bears had been changed to newer more fresher better looking ones so quick? Did they have “pepper in them” too?
I did hope for the best but I just wasn’t feeling it. They may have a bigger selection than Cosmos inside the St. Enoch Centre but the quality of the food doesn’t match theirs. I didn’t feel the price of £23.99 matched the value of the experience.
Also, if you have an upcoming birthday your meal is on the house as long as you book in advance and can prove it – great concept.
