If you like Puerto Rican food (or never had it before) this is the place to go. The pollo guisado stew was so rich, savory-flavorful (think tomato, pepper, lemon, bay leaf, garlic, maybe some cumin flavor; hard to describe exactly the flavor). You get three sides with it too. I got tostones (nice and crispy), Yuca fries (these are good but get some of the garlic sauce with them next time) and sliced avocado. I’d recommend rice and beans with this for a real treat. The people working there were really nice too. Always love trying dishes here and recommend to check them out if you’re over near Homestead.

Ended up getting steak with chimichurri. The steak itself was a little overcooked for me, I like it medium rare, but that might be how it’s supposed to be made for Puerto Rican food. The chimichurri sauce was excellent. The Yucca fries were delicious as well as the red beans. I really liked the Mofongo as you could taste the garlic and plantains perfectly. Also try the fried sweet plantains which were delicious. Definitely recommend.

My daughter lives in PA and she found this place and took me to try out. I’m from Chicago so our Puerto Rican food is top tier lol but I must say the jibaritos were 9/10 (only because the meat was a bit different then what I’m use to) the yuca fries were 10/10 and the workers were friendly. I’d go back again and I’m glad my daughter found a spot by her

Nice place for some Puerto Rican food. We were passing through and decided to check them out. Even though the dishes are on the higher end, the servings are filling. The foods flavor was close but not quite tasting as island food (obviously, some condiments/food we cook w are not readily available here). The guy and girl (don’t know if they own it) were nice.

As someone who’s Puerto Rican, I can tell you the food here is as authentic Puerto Rican as it gets. I’ve been here twice when visiting from out-of-town and everything in the menu has been awesome. I bring my non Puerto Rican friends here and they love it. I love the flava-bowl, it alows you to sample different items in a smaller portion.

The food was great. The flan is almost just like Filipino leche flan so i loved it. The portions were great. Staff were very friendly. You order at the kitchen and they have a different seating area shared with another business. It’s a vibe.

Stopped in Saturday with some friends for dinner and wow, honestly some of the best food I’ve had! We had a little bit of everything and it was so fresh and flavorful. Everyone who worked there were extremely friendly and even came by our table to give us something extra to try! We will definitely be back!

Secretos has amazing food, excellent quality, and generous service both when dining-in or when ordering catering. My recent experience with their catering was ABOVE & BEYOND: convenient process, quick communication, and extremely accommodating service resulted in a delicious holiday meal for my family. Highly recommend the decadent flan. Thank you again!
SUPER casual spot so low rating for atmosphere alone, so not a real complaint just expect casual.

Not even in the car yet and this place was fire as hell. Genuinely the best empanadas I’ve ever had. The atmosphere, the food, loved it all. My people behind the counter are not only super nice, but they know what’s good. Much love from the two white boys.

Stopped in for the first time at Secretos, and will definitely be back. Food was absolutely delicious and the portions were hearty. We tried a bunch of things and everything was great. A wonderful local Pittsburgh business to support.
