This was the best food and service experience that I’ve had in my two years visiting St. Augustine Beach. Our server was Andrea she was nice and checked on us constitently. As soon as we were seated we received warm chips and salsa. Delicous and authentic. Our appetizer was fried jalapenos, perfect flavor and cripsy. We ordered a Chicken Fajita Quesadilla and California burrito (10 in). Everything was delicious, hot, and authentic. Oh yeah, the Mojito was great as well. Everything was priced very well. All of that and we spent 31$. Highly recommended.

Very laid back atmosphere, clean restaurant and very friendly staff. Only complaint was a pungent smell throughout the restaurant. We asked for the drink specials and were told they were offering 2 for the 1 margaritas! (What’s not to love about that) They were fantastic and not shy on the Tequila! I ordered the California burrito which as you can see from the photo is mucho grande and fully loaded. The grilled chicken was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the vegetarian fajitas which were sautéed nicely. Will definitely come again.

The Torta with Al pastor is the best I’ve ever had. The beer is fresh from the tap and the menu is varied from authentic Mexican to americanized. Kind waitresses/waiters, and very chill atmosphere. This is great for a Mexican restaurant!!

1st time here – waited a good 5 minutes, and saw at least 5 people who work here look me in the eye and say nada! My companion went and got someone, who looked super surprised to be flagged down.
Didn’t want to judge based on the plates I passed on the way to my table but turns out my assessment would of been spot on without trying the food. The three of us ate a variety of items in pork, beef and chicken and everything was just blah. Truly the worst version of Mexican food I’ve ever tried. I didn’t eat much of any one thing and will never eat here again and pretty sure there is nothing authentic about it.

It’s now taco libre. Go to cantina Louie instead. They charge for sides that come with the meal at cantina Louie. The food is not as good and service was very slow.

We liked their salsa a lot. Not too spicy, but quite flavorful. Going back again this week for more. The portion sizes were a bit small compared to most other Mexican eateries we frequent, but the taste was excellent. Prices on the ticket did seem to vary a bit from what was posted outside or on the printed menu. Service was very attentive.

We have now eaten here twice, and decided to review. Although the food is very good, and the prices are fair, the service we have received is very poor. Long waits to be seated with plenty of open tables, with staff just walking by without looking at us both times. Once seated, the time between waitress visits to take order and refill drinks was unacceptable. Again, many employees milling around, but doing little. After much time passed, the appetizers came out at the same time as the entrees. Our ticket for 3 people was over $60, and we still tipped 20%. For us to try again, I would to see reports of improved service. I can only assume poor supervision. On all the poor reviews I see the owner apologize for the bad experiences, but it appears there has been nothing done to correct the service issues.
