My in laws took me here knowing I love breakfast food. I ordered their crab cake benedict because I didn’t expect to see it on the menu.
It was by far the most delicious crab cake I’ve ever had. It wasn’t dry, actually moist inside with a nice soft tender crunch outside. Paired really well with the poached egg and sauce. I would say it truly rivaled the Maryland crab cakes and others on the coast.
I would love to get their recipe because it was true perfection and would get it anytime I’m in town.

Third time going. First time was ok. Second time the server was like she wasn’t even paying attention to anything but her phone. I sit at the bar. None of the other staff tried to step up and help either. Wrong food and sat for 30 minutes waiting for a check or some coffee. It wasn’t busy. Third and final time didn’t even get to eat. Once again solo. I was next on the list and three or 4 people were seated First even a 2 spot at the bar. I will never go back again.

Wifie and I really enjoyed our trip to the Big Apple Cafe. The staff was over the top friendly, and the service was great. The decor is a cool kind of small town diner with a hint of New York. The food is really good… I had the Ruben with the fresh cut fries, which was delicious – the fries are a must try. Wifie had their salad with chicken, which was really big and very well put together. This place is well worth stopping by for a meal. They serve breakfast all day.

Much like early birds this spot is a must try for anyone wanting a quick delicious hot meal for a very affordable price. I have tried every item on their menu and have nothing to complain about, portions are generous and come out right away.

Went for breakfast on Nov. 28, 2025. My sister in law and I ordered french toast and an omelet. After 40 minutes, had to ask for our food. She brought it to us, cold. The omelet was as flat as a piece of paper with what looked like 2 or 3 small chunks of ham. Sent it back, had to ask for our food again, while watching it sit in the window. Brought it to us again, looked like the same food we sent back. Cold again, we left. Doubtful I ever go back.

So happy I found this place. We got biscuits and gravy, pancake, and German fries. Everything was delicious. Some of the best sausage gravy I’ve had. We sat at the bar next to Bob, a regular at the restaurant who told us all the other menu items to try next time we visit. Highly recommend!
