Look, no one is gonna come on here and say that the food at Bubba Gump’s is high quality eating, but the food is definitely more than satisfying. I wouldn’t frequent this place if it wasn’t. For what they have to offer their patrons, Bubba Gump’s will definitely satisfy almost all visitors.
But what does make Bubba Gump’s more than worth visiting is the atmosphere. If you know anything about the movie this establishment takes it namesake from, you’ll more than appreciate the aesthetic and feel of the restaurant. And if you don’t know anything about the movie, this place still has more to offer to pull you into the world of the movie.
And the staff at this locale (as well as other Bubba Gump’s locations) make you feel very welcome to be there. In my experiences at Bubba Gump’s, I’ve always felt happy and excited to be there. And my family always loves visiting these restaurants as well.

I had a really enjoyable meal here at the Long Beach location, I ordered the Shrimp Shack Mac & Cheese it was rich, cheesy, and loaded with a lot of cooked shrimp, the waiter in this place was on top of things kept our drinks filled, and had great suggestions from the menu. The outdoor seating area has a laid-back, nautical vibe with views of the marina, which made it a great spot to relax and enjoy dinner after a day out. The portions are generous, cant beat that.

I tried Bubba Gump for the first time during a trip to the aquarium. I was looking for a dish to share with my partner. When we got here, we waited for about 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us in the front. Then once the server finally sat us, we waited another 10 minutes for a server to come over. She finally came (a younger blonde girl) and greeted us, brought us waters, said she’d be back to take our order. Came back another 10 minutes later and we ordered the Forrest’s Seafood Feast, which costs around $30 and is supposed to be: A signature platter featuring hand-battered fish, fried shrimp, seafood hush pups, fries, and coleslaw. My partner and I thought this was perfect to share and after seeing pictures online, we were like this is a good amount of food for us to share! Our food took 30-40 minutes to come out. It was ridiculous. Our server kept checking on other tables, running the bar on her own, and so on. It was not busy at all either, maybe 4 other tables in the whole restaurant. As we were thinking of leaving, our food comes out and it literally looks like a kids size portion. We had also subbed extra fries instead of the coleslaw, and we literally only had a handful of fries. It really looked like such a sad meal. Our server brought us extra fries after I pointed out the small portion, but that was it. After that, she never came back to check on us until I asked for the check. It was such a bad experience and out of anger, I didn’t take a picture to show how ridiculous the portion was, and for $30. I’m not the type of person to complain or make a scene, but I was truly disappointed and I don’t feel I got my hard earned money’s worth at all. Super disappointed with the food, the service, and overall don’t think I’ll be returning to a Bubba Gump location soon. I am attaching a picture of what someone else’s food order looked like (looks like they ordered the same thing) and no joke ours was probably half if not less than that. It’s not a joke. I wish it was.

The team at the Long Beach Bubba Gump offered a terrific dinner dining experience for our 280 member party! They offered quick and friendly service, delicious food, a fun environment both inside the restaurant and on the outside patio! Two standouts for their smiles and accommodating efforts are Presilla and Ashlee! Thank you Team Bubba Gump for a terrific experience!

I love coming to relax and have a good meal at this Bubba Gump Shrimp in longbeach. The atmosphere is rustic and has a warm feel to it. The employees are welcoming and attentive. Food is great and service is topnotch. Highly recommend

This has became me and my husband favorite place to eat. We always get great service and all the servers we have had, has been amazing. The GM Kyle is really awesome. When I say he went far a beyond for me and my husband he did. Not saying we’re having a bad time but he just made our time/ experience at this restaurant so much better. That was a couple of weeks ago. (Just forgot to write this review)
So because we love this restaurant we are here again and Chris is our server for tonight. They are really slammed and he has the best customer service. Very apologetic about the wait but he did his very best to meet all of our needs. Still one of our favorite places to come.

First time at Bubbas and I was impressed! The atmosphere was great, the food even better! I got the 1LB shrimp bucket and the shrimp sandwiches and was fairly impressed! Other than the extra guts I had to pull from the shrimp or the little nat in my drink it was very good!

Located across the Aquarium mall from the entrance to the Aquarium. We had lunch after spending the morning at the Aquarium. Quite a few gluten free options. I had the salmon & shrimp, substituting the broccoli for corn. The sauce was fantastic and no reaction from gluten. I have never had a problem at any Bubba Gump shrimp location. It was great to have seafood after going to the Aquarium.
It is odd that no shrimp dish is listed as gluten free when the shrimp with the salmon is gluten free.

The food was absolutely amazing and the service was excellent too. I got the 1/2 lb of shrimp 1/2 Cajun and 1/2 garlic but in hindsight I wound go with Cajun. I also added potatoes, corn, and sausage for the Low Country boil!! It was outstanding! Their Cajun flair is simply amazing. My daughter doesn’t like seafood so she got a cheese pizza and said it was really good. We sat outside and it was fun. The staff came out and did Forrest Gump trivia. I would recommend this place to anyone. They also have a lot of options for people that don’t like seafood. I was really surprised at what a large menu they had. They can accommodate anyone regardless of what they eat! I will definitely eat here again. I just wish there was one closer to my home.
